NPP, others celebrate 121st Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, who acceded J&K to India

121st birth anniversary was celebrated with great pump and show by the activists of National Panthers Party, Bharatiya Samata Samaj and others at Jantar Mantar, the Hyde Park Corner of India this afternoon describing him as one of the greatest nationalists and Indian patriot who had challenged the British Crown in 1931 at Round Table Conference in London declaring that, “I am an Indian first and then a Maharaja”.

It was this declaration of Maharaja Hari Singh which made him to face several hostiletempests and storms from 1931 till the day he opted for exile on 5th March, 1948.

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and post graduate in law from London University while addressing the Panthers Party activists at the historical Jantar Mantar, New Delhi declared that Maharaja Hari Singh had taken a historic decision by acceding to the Union of India on 26th October, 1947 and gathered support from all regions of J&K including Kashmir. He regretted that the Indian leadership in 1947 and 1950 failed to realize the international implication of keeping J&K out of the Union of India and did not include the State of J&K among 577 states of India which were included in the Union of India on 26th January, 1950. Prof.Bhim Singh said that this was the blunder committed by the Indian leadership in 1950 by excluding J&K from the list of states which were merged into the Union of India on 26th January, 1950.

maharaja-harisingh-birthdayThe Panthers Party described Maharaja Hari Singh as one of the greatest nationalists who had acceded the Union of India by signing the Instrument of Accession of 26th October, 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Indian leadership failed to realize the significance and importance of the signatures of Maharaja Hari Singh on the Instrument of Accession in the presence of the then Home Secretary of India, Shri V.P. Menon.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Parliament of India to undo the wrong committed by the Constituent Assembly by amending Article 370 so as to empower the Parliament of India to legislate on the subjects which were included expressly by Maharaja Hari Singh namely, Defence, Foreign Affairs and Communication with Allied Matters on 26th October, 1947 in the presence of Shri V.P. Menon at Amar Mahal, Jammu, the winter capital of J&K.

Those who participated in the pushpanjali celebration included Rajiv Jolly Khosla, Romesh Khajuria, Om Kishan, Dildar Hussain Beig, Kali Ram Tomar, Bhawani Maharaj, B.R.Pal, K.K.Raghav, Swami Omji, Nancy Koul, Advocate D.Vidyanandam, Azgar Khan, A.J.Rajan and others.

NPP Supremo splashes rejoinder to Pak-premier Blasts his UN speech into Ashes

Bulldozing Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief’s outburst at United Nations the other day, Prof.  Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, a post graduate in Law with distinction from London University and Sr. Advocate of the Supreme Court of India today challenged the Pak Prime Minister to join a debate on J&K anywhere, at any platform even in Pakistan on the political status of J&K to justify what he has lamented in his draconian speech he made at the floors of the General Assembly of the United Nations only the other day on the so-called ‘J&K dispute’. The Panthers Party Supremo, a recognized international authority in international law who represented Palestinian problems before several international for has challenged the Prime Minister of Pakistan on his bogus, disputed and irrelevant assertions vis-à-vis J&K.

Prof.Bhim Singh raised important points challenging the speech of Pak premier which he made before the United Nations General Assembly asking the Prime Minister to speak about the history, background and tragic episodes of 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh question Pak Prime Minister about the speech he made a day before the General Assembly of the United Nations which was totally misleading, mischievous and contrary to the history of the so-called J&K dispute.

1.                 Prof.Bhim Singh asked Prime Minister of Pakistan as to what was the dispute vis-à-vis J&K that he raised before the General Assembly. He questioned was it not Pakistan which attacked/invaded the princely state of Maharaja Hari Singh on 20thAugust, 1947?

2.                 Was it not Pakistan which aided and abetted the Pakistani soldiers and tribals to attack peace-loving state of J&K from Uri and Muzaffrabad side in 1947?

3.                 The Prime Minister of Pakistan forgot that entire Kashmiri Muslim fraternity rose like a wall and dashed the Pakistani invaders at Uri and Poonch?

4.                 The Pak-premier did not know that people of J&K led by Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah, Mohd. Afzel Beg, Sufi Mohd. Akbar and others led the civilians of J&K to defeat the invaders at Poonch and in Baramulla in 1947?

5.                 Did Nawaz Sharief know that Maharaja had signed a peace treaty with Pakistan on 16th August, 1947 which was violated by the Pakistani Army on 20thOctober, 1947?

6.                 Maharaja Hari Singh with the active support and participation of all the Kashmiri leaders acceded to the Union of India on 26th October, 1947 in response to the roaring voice of the people of J&K and acceded to the Union of India signing the Instrument of Accession on 26th October, 1947 which was accepted by the then Governor General of India, Lord Mountbatten on 27th October, 1947?

7.                 Why Nawaz Sharief should have felt shy to tell the people of the world that the United Nations in its resolution dated 13th January, 1948 had directed Pakistan to vacate all occupied territories of J&K which included entire POK (so-called Azad J&K-4600 sq. miles territory), 32,000 sq. miles of Gilgit-Baltistan as well as nearly 20,000 sq. miles of J&K territory in Ladakh region under Chinese illegal occupation?

8.                 The United Nations Resolution was violated by Pakistan which had directed Pakistan to vacate all occupied territories of J&K to clear all roads to hold plebiscite in entire J&K, 84,000 sq. miles of territory?

9.                 Pakistan in 2009 declared entire Gilgit- Baltistan (32,000 sq. miles as its territory) demolishing the very seedlings of the resolution of the United Nations which Pak-premier has been talking of a day before?

10.            It was Pakistan which demolished the UN Resolutions into pieces, violated them in 1947, 1965, 1971 and again 1999 (Kargil war)?

Prof.Bhim Singh challenged Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief to come and join a debate/discussion on the present situation of J&K vis-à-vis UN Resolution. He said that he is prepared to join Pak Prime Minister in this debate even in Pakistan or any country the Pakistan Prime Minister would dare choose. Prof.Bhim Singh described the speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief he made before the General Assembly a frustrated move as if he was arguing as a counsel of the Pakistan Army. It appeared that Nawaz Sharief was forced to make this speech under the terror of Pakistan Army which he had faced earlier in 1999 after the Kargil war.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that people of J&K are wedded to secularism in democracy. They have their local problem which have been sown by the blunders and military adventures of Pakistan in J&K.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Nawaz Sharief bogey for so-called self determination to the people of J&K stands exposed as the people of J&K have remained wedded to the concept of mutual co-existence (secularism), love (no hate), human ethos and humanism for thousands of years.

Prof.Bhim Singh announced that the Panthers Party shall hold an open debate on the situation that prevails in the state of J&K and invite the people of J&K from all its regions including those which are under the illegal occupation of Pakistan.

Prof.Bhim Singh appealed Shri Nawaz Sharief, the Prime Minister of Pakistan to return to his original statesmanship/political streture and courage that he enjoyed before he took power as a Prime Minister after his return to Pakistan from exile.

Prof. Bhim Singh, Sr. Executive Member of Supreme Court Bar Association & Chairman of Sub-Committee of Conferences and International Affairs has expressed deep shock as to how SCBA is being converted into a Modi hub by some sycophants in the name of safai campaign launched by Modi for his political ends and cheap publicity. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the lawyers’ community has been working to wash all stints and all acts of criminalization in the society all along. He said that cleansing of minds and hearts of the politicians is more important than cleansing the outside dust. He said that lawyers’ community has been using the legal broom to clear all the dirt from the face of criminal minds which is a greater task than cleaning the dirt on the roads and streets.

Prof. Bhim Singh has strongly disagreed with the leadership of SCBA to invite political leaders of a political party for seeking small favours through their sycophancy. Prof. Bhim Singh has boycotted this drama being enacted inside the corridors of the greatest judicial institution that does not match with the dignity of lawyers’ community.
