Stop pellet bullets against children of India, Or face trial for human rights violation

A meeting of the State Legal Aid Committee headed by Prof.Bhim Singh, a Barrister & Sr.Advocate of Supreme Court of India chairing State Legal Aid Committee was held this morning at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to work out an appropriate and affective measures to save the children of India who have been facing pellets (lead bullets) in Kashmir for the pleasure of the rulers of J&K. It is one of the greatest tragedies of the time that BJP became a ruling partner with PDP who have been ruling the state for the past over two years.

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of NPP convened an emergency meeting of the State Legal Aid Committee in New Delhi took a hard decision to move the National Human Rights Commission in New Delhi, the capital of India against the brutal, barbaric and inhuman use of pellet guns against the children of India in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh addressing over 50 lawyers-members of the State Legal Aid Committee hailing from different parts of the country decided that a human right protection campaign shall be undertaken by the State Legal Aid Committee to mobilize the national opinion of the human activists and politicians as well as the intellectuals against the barbaric use of pellet guns against the children in Kashmir Valley which is rightly called as crown of India and where Mahatma Gandhi felt the ray of hope and saw the lights of the day in the forties during the freedom struggle of India against the British kingdom.

Prof.Bhim Singh declared that the use of pellet guns shall be declared as inhuman, criminal, unrecognized in the chapter of human rights and unacceptable in the Indian democracy which is supposed to extend to the State of J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh declared that the State Legal Aid Committee shall knock the doors of National Human Rights Commission to ensure that such use of pellet guns is listed as anti-human and crime against the humanity in a free country, India.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that more than 50 youth including males and females and children have been hit by the pellet bullets for the pleasure of the rulers of J&K which include BJP and PDP. Prof.Bhim Singh said that during 100 years Dogra rule the bullets were not allowed to be used against the people. It was only in 1931 that some people were killed (martyred). The then Maharaja of J&K, Hari Singh invited a British Commissioner to hold inquiry and all the guilty policemen were punished. This was one instance in 1931 during 100 years of Dogra rule. He wondered how many innocent persons have been killed by the so-called democratic government in J&K who claim to be Indian where the rule of law of the Constitution of India does not reach. J&K is the only state in India which has not been officially merged by the Constituent Assembly and the only state which has its separate Constitution without any fundamental rights incorporated inside the Constitution. The only hope of the people of J&K lies in Supreme Court of India which has managed of its own to extend its jurisdiction to the State of J&K in spite of the fact that J&K is not under the command of Constitution of India because of the temporary provision of Article 370.

Prof.Bhim Singh declared that October 26 shall be celebrated as Accession Day throughout J&K, the day Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Instrument of Accession in 1947. He regretted that the Parliament of India has not cared to implement that accession for merger of the state till this day. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Article 370 needs to be amended so that people of J&K shall be guaranteed all the fundamental rights incorporated in the Constitution of India.

Prof.Bhim Singh, Founder of J&K National Panthers Party expressed a great hope in the rise of the civil society in coordination with the lawyers and academician fraternity which is destined to bring a scientific change in socio-political sphere of Jammu Pradesh. He said that this is only way to provide social security to the people of Kashmir Valley which can grow and developed as a secured society as a twin state in J&K. He said that Kashmir Valley was a province of the Punjab under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and this province of Punjab was merged into J&K in 1846 under the Treaty of Amritsar which had been opposed by Kashmiri leadership including Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah and his National Conference. He said that J&K has three strong cultural and social entities and each one; Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu Pradesh have different cultural, linguistic and social identities which need to be appreciated by all democratic and secular forces inside and outside the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh congratulated the lawyers’ fraternity and the notables from the civil society of Jammu Pradesh for sitting together to work out a joint action plan as to what needs to be done at this stage to save J&K as integral part of India and ensure that the enemies of India led by Anglo-American Bloc do not dare interfere with the internal security of India. He said that Anglo-American Bloc with the help of ISI have been maneuvering divide Jammu Pradesh in order to create communal divide in Jammu Pradesh to enable old Dixon Plan proposed by Jewish Australian Judge as UN Observer in J&K in 1951. The unity of Jammu is in the greater interest the security of the country and that could be done by the reorganization of the state by establishing twin state formula by creating Kashmir Valley state and Jammu Pradesh which is possible by amending Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. He said that Parliament is sovereign and competent to amend any provision of the Constitution of India in the interest of unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation.

Prof.Bhim Singh had organized a grand meeting of the civil society in Jammu Club last month which was participated by several prominent political personalities and notables from the society including ex-Army Generals, Congress leaders who endorsed the Magna Carta, 1268 for Jammu Pradesh to ensure political equality, social and linguistic protection which alone can save the people of J&K from further death and destruction.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on Panthers Party leadership in J&K and the volunteers to continue their struggle with care and caution as they have been doing after the Assembly election in J&K. He said the people of J&K have started missing the Panthers Party inside the legislature and they want return of Panthers Party back to the legislature so that the voice of the people shall echo once again from the floors of the legislature. He hoped that civil society shall continue its agenda without any hesitation or interruption.

Vaishno Devi Tourists Service Tax insult to entire Hindu fraternity

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party in a statement condemned the Service Tax of Hindu pilgrims travelling by helicopter for darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi and described it as much worst than ‘Jajia’ imposed by the Mughals on the Hindus during their rule. NPP Supremo said that India is a secular country and the minorities are treated with utmost respect and dignity. Even Constitution of India has guaranteed them fundamental rights to practice any religion. There could be no discrimination on the basis of religion. He said that this is a great tragedy that RSS became ruling partners in J&K for the first and last time. This ‘Jajia’ (Service Tax) could not have been imposed on the Hindu pilgrims without consent of the BJP (RSS) ministers in J&K.

NPP Supremo said that all the tourists including pilgrims have to pay all kind of taxes like Sale Tax, Purchase Tax and even Service Tax while purchasing tickets by Airlines or helicopters. Imposing Service Tax on the Vaishno Devi pilgrims travelling by helicopters within J&K is highly deplorable and cannot be accepted in a secular state. He asked Prime Minister Modi to explain it the country men why his government has insulted the Hindu pilgrims when the Hindus all over India voted for Modi for his ‘Hindutva’. Modi was given highly emotional reception by the Hindu citizens in USA, Kerala and all other countries wherever he went.

NPP Supremo asked Prime Minister Modi, Is it your response to your Hindu voters?  Is it not insult to the entire Hindu fraternity in India and abroad? Can Mr. Modi justify this ‘Jajiya’ on Vaishno Devi pilgrims? Prof.Bhim Singh further added that India’s secularism is demonstrated by the fact that our Muslim fraternity travelling by air from J&K to Mecca are given subsidy on the expenses of their travels including air tickets, which is a great gesture of secular India but he asked Prime Minister how could you justify this obnoxious tax (Jajiya) on Hindu travellers to Mata Vaishno Devi in J&K.

He called on the Panthers Party activists and the leaders to take up this movement to its logical end.

Shameful sell out of Jammu electorates by BJP

“It was complete sell out of the Jammu voters by the BJP for power and pety loot of State exchequer at the hands of Kashmiri rulers which is evident from the record of the Assembly proceedings. The BJP speaker was abused and humbled by NC legislator thus disgracing the dignity of the House. BJP with its 26 MLAs with 2 borrowed from Kashmir dared not speak a word in defense of its own party speaker. BJP has failed to act even as ‘B’ team rather it has been treated by PDP as ‘X’ team with no respect or dignity. The BJP sold out the interest of the people of Jammu for couple of chairs and to share loot with Kashmiri rulers for swallowing all the insults.” This was the reaction of NPP Supremo when asked to comment on the role of BJP inside the Legislative Assembly as a ruling partner.

NPP Supremo accused BJP to sell out the interest of nearly 15 lacs refugees including nearly 85,000 Pakistani refugees when it failed even to mention the POK and Pak refugees in their address. He said there was no mention of a word in the Governor’s address though BJP was a ‘C’ class partner in the government. He said another casualty was delimitation of constituencies for which the BJP had been shouting at the top of their loud voices for decades. BJP buried Article 370 into the depth of the River Jhelum thus betraying its own agenda just for power sake. The BJP has betrayed the youth and the students as well as the working class reminding the definition of ‘sell out’ by its leaders to the Kashmiri rulers. NPP leader said that the BJP has sold the precious 15 lacs ‘votes’ to the Kashmiri rulers. They did the same thing by selling out the interest of Jammu to Sheikh Abdullah in 1978 when a movement led by Prof.Bhim Singh was sabotaged by the BJP leaders (then called Janata Party). BJP again sold out Jammu’s interest when the BJP leaders sold out the movement of the entire people of Jammu during Shri Amarnath Shrine Board Land Row. Just for pennies in political terminology. They have no sold out the future of the youth and students, interest of the farmers and workers and it shall take an age to redeem the loss. It is BJP who has bartered away with the blood of the innocent migrants living like animals in the camps of Talwara and other places.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on youth and students and the civil society to take a lead by demolishing the trio Congress-NC, PDP & BJP to save the history, identity and even geography of Jammu Pradesh so that lost glory of the Dogra-Pahari people shall be restored with dignity and honour. He said it is only Panthers and Panthers Party alone which can play its destined role to rescue the great people of J&K from complete disgust, dishonour, discrimination and injustice.

Prof. Bhim Singh seeking immediate intervention of the J&K Governor to stop political blackmailing and horse-trading by political parties in J&K

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party made the following statement in a press conference at Jammu today seeking immediate intervention of the J&K Governor to stop political blackmailing and horse-trading by political parties in J&K.

“This is the right time that Shri N.N Vohra, the Governor of J&K shall act within the meaning and scope of the Constitution to stop horse-trading among the political parties in J&K which have recorded their roll in December 2014 Poll for the Assembly.

  1. That there is no political party which has won the people mandate evens the manipulation of the EVMs managed by the ruling parties namely BJP and NC have not given mandate to any political party.  Therefore, there is an urgent need to save the basics of parliamentary democracy in the state.
  2. That the political parties of the Valley namely PDP, NC have election manifestoes which stand totally opposite to the manifesto of Jammu-based political parties particularly the saffron BJP.
  3. That BJP has managed through manipulation of EVMs of 25 seats in Jammu out of 37.  Made fraudulent promises and spreading conflict and hatred to record their win.  The BJP’s manifesto is totally contradictory to PDP’s or NC’s.
  4. The NC and PDP both have stood on the old Dixon Plan by imposing American formula to divide state on communal line.  PDP’s Self-Rule and NC’s Greater Autonomy are two faces of the same coin.
  5. There could be no match to propose any coalition of BJP and PDP or PDP, NC or other independent MLAs who has gone to the poll with any abuse to the Constitution of India, Army and challenging the national integration.
  6. That the election to the Assembly is held in violation of the judgment of the Supreme Court dated October 8, 2013 where the Supreme Court had held that the present EVMs system needs overhauling and must be changed to keep people faith in elections.  The Supreme Court had directed the Election Commission of India and the Union Government to introduce ‘paper trail’ while polling so that the voter should know whether his/her vote has been cast the way he wanted.
  7. The only way is to stop political parties a blackmail, horse-trading, money-trading and encouraging political corruption.  The only way out is cancellation of the recently held polls and fresh elections by implementing the Supreme Court judegment.

I urge the Hon’ble Governor, Shri N.N Vohra to call off talks with political parties searching for power at the cost of the Constitution, rule of law and indulging in horse-trading and corrupt practices so that fresh election may be held in accordance with the judgment of the Supreme Court.”
