NPP volunteers shall draw PM’s attention on his commitment for Jammuites

The National Panthers Party volunteers shall resort to one-day protest/dharna in New Delhi, Jammu and other places to draw attention of Prime Minister Modi towards the promises and the commitment he has made to the people of Jammu Pradesh during election to the Lok Sabha and the Assembly.

The Panthers Party shall hold a protest/dharna in Jantar Mantar under the leadership of Prof.Bhim Singh and several senior leaders on the national level. The Panthers Party shall hold protest/dharna in Jammu Raj Bhawan with the active participation of senior Panthers Party leaders of Panthers Trade Union, Young Panthers, NPSU, Women Power, Panchayat Empowerment Committee and others.

The Panthers Party shall remind the Prime Minister about his different commitments in regard to amendment in Article 370, comprehensive settlement of 15 lacs refugees from POK & Pak suffering in Jammu Pradesh, delimitation of Assembly constituencies to remove discrimination against Jammu Pradesh, establishment of AIIMS in Jammu, introduction of Fundamental Rights in J&K, payment of salaries to Govt. employees, labourers and all & when Jammu (Talwara) Migrants shall get justice according to SC Judgment? 

Panthers Party Chief Patron, Prof.Bhim Singh in his three-page letter to the Prime Minister has urged PM to respond the aspirations of suffering people of Jammu Pradesh. He told PM that everybody is waiting for his speech that he is going to deliver on 7th November, 2015 in Srinagar.

Jantar Mantar, New Delhi seeking early settlement of ‘one rank, one pension’ issue.

          Assuring the ex-servicemen of NPP support, Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Union Govt. and Defence Minister to ensure early redressal of all grievances of retired military personnel who have fought for the defense of our borders and for hpholding the national honour and the flag. He regretted that army men who risk their lives for defending our freedom and liberties were forced to take to streets for realizing what was genuinely due to them. He said that the assurances for ‘one rank, one pension’ were being given to the ex-army personnel for the last several years but no steps were ever initiated by the successive governments to translate the same into reality.

          Reminding PM Modi of his tall sloganeering during elections, Prof.Bhim Singh said that BJP had promised the fulfillment of the OROP issue within 100 days after coming to power which slogan was most shamefully discarded by the said party after coming to power. He assured the ex-servicemen to take up his cause with the Defence Minister at the earliest and advised the NPP workers to stand by ex-servicemen in the country.

 

NPP rejects Div. Com. inquiry commission Demands judicial inquiry into killing of Jammu youth

Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, PresidentJKNPP rejected the government offer to hold an inquiry by the Divisional Commissioner saying that the people don’t want and inquiry by a public servant. It must be held by high power judicial committee headed by a sitting judge of the High Court so that truth is known to everybody about the conspiracy and killing of young S. Jagjeet Singh yesterday in police firing. He accused the state government for trying to play hide and seek with the people of Jammu by holding so-called inquiry by a government servant.

Shri Mankotia said that the Panthers Party has very clear stand which was mentioned in the statement issued yesterday by party leadership that inquiry must be held by a senior judge and it must be a judicial inquiry. He said that removal of a police officer or FIR against a SPO shows that government wants to keep a lid on the entire conspiracy and plot to create tension in Jammu so that the real issues involved like AIIMS, Tawi Lake, delimitation, 15 lac refugees and migrants gets shadowed under the clouds of artificial anarchy created by the administration. He also congratulated the people of Jammu and particularly the youth for maintain unity among the people.

Shri Mankotia also appealed to all political, social groups and NGOs to work jointly to maintain communal harmony so that the conspirators who intend to disturb peace in Jammu are exposed before the people. He also blamed the government for its total failure to control the situation which could have been easily avoided.

NPP condemned killing of youth in Jammu, Demands judicial probe & action against the killers

Prof.Bhim Singh, Member of NIC, Shri Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP and Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, President-JKNPP condemned brutal killing of young man, S. Jagjeet Singh in Jammu yesterday while the people were protesting against police. The NPP leaders demanded high power judicial inquiry and a compensation of Rs.1 crore to the family of the deceased young man who has been killed ruthlessly in the day light and public while exercising his right to protest. Right to protest, express views and right to speech is fundamental right of every citizen and its denial is an offence.

          The NPP leaders accused PDP-BJP government for creating such a situation in the peace-loving city of temples by such dastardly acts to divert the attention of the citizens in Jammu from the real issues and upper most is the AIIMS. The NPP leaders said that the latest bandh observed in Jammu in one voice and unity demonstrated by the residents of Jammu Pradesh had shaken the coalition government. This outrageous act of gunning down a young man was aimed to create tension and disturbed harmony.

          They said that the law of the land does not authorize anybody, even the kings and monarchs to kill any person. There is law of the land to deal with any situation or with any offence committed by any person or persons.    

          The NPP leaders made an appeal to the people of Jammu from all walks of life to keep their centuries’ old tradition of communal harmony which has been a cultural entity of the people of Jammu.
