Where Modi blundered while addressing public rally in Srinagar on 7th November, 2015

The people of this country were eagerly waiting for the message of the Indian Prime Minister when he addressed a public rally on 7th November, 2015 this year from Srinagar, Kashmir. Not only the people of India but people of Pakistan and POK in particular were betting on Modi’s message to strengthen Indo-Pak ties and continuation of talks as were agreed in the Shimla Agreement in 1972 signed by Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Jenab Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Clause 6 of the Agreement has laid down that the Prime Ministers of the two countries shall meet frequently to seek final resolution of the situation.

Prime Minister Modi used his rhetoric voice trying to raise emotional surcharge but without touching the substance or the existing realities. His announcement at the end of speech that he had brought Rs.80,000 crores for J&K was received by artificial cheers, naturally so, because half of the audience were hired or the serving employees in different departments. This was so that the people wanted to attend Prime Minister’s rally dared not come out of their houses because entire Valley was curfew bound. The trains from Banihal to Qazigund, Qazigund to Baramullah were stemmed off for two days. There was no surface transport available for a common man. All offices and educational institutions were shut. I remember that a call for Hartal in Srinagar was even by angry Kashmiri leaders during the visit of the then Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. I and many other invitees drove from the Airport to the Guest House to attend the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. The government was instructed from Delhi that the Prime Minister would not allow a state curfew to help the boycott. It was a different story which was carried by every media person and newspaper that entire Valley was shut because of the state action. It was state sponsored bandh in other words.

The Prime Minister failed to congratulate the Indian Army which has been playing a most constructive role, manning the borders, making sacrifices by laying down their lives for the sake of the nation. The Prime Minister forgot to say a word about the Indian Army which is taking care of the snow covered hills and Siachin glacier. The other blunder Prime Minister committed was his failure to congratulate the people of J&K for showing resistance to the militants and the terrorists. These were the people of J&K who resisted Pakistani aggression in 1947 and defeated terrorism through their constant and consistent resistance for nearly 25 years.

The Prime Minister’s another blunder was to ignore Jammu Pradesh and the problems the people of Jammu Pradesh have been facing right since 1947. He failed to mention the plight of the Jammu Migrants while he did mention the Kashmiri Migrants in his Ramban speech, though casually. The Jammu Migrants have been suffering on the roads, not given any relief by the Central or the State government since 2000. The High Court of J&K and Supreme Court of India ordered J&K government and Govt. of India to pay relief to Jammu Migrants at par with Kashmiri Migrants. It never happened. The Prime Minister promised these migrants during his election campaign in Jammu Pradesh that he shall redress their problems if they voted for him. They voted and the Prime Minister did not care even to mention their plight.

Besides there are nearly 15 lac POK and Pak refugees rotting, sulking and starving in different parts of Jammu Pradesh. The Pakistani refugees nearly one lac have not been given any fundamental rights in J&K because they are not citizens of J&K though born in J&K since 1947. The POK refugees were promised comprehensive settlement. 68 years are over. Third generation is continuing in the same pain and agony. Prime Minister could not find even a word to express his sympathy with them. Entire Jammu and Kathua are facing wrath of Pakistani shelling from across international border with Pakistan. Thousands of people have become shelterless. The children have no schools, the farmers cannot go their fields. They have no shelter to keep their families. Prime Minister could not remember them as well. Prime Minister promised about Rs.5,000 crores for the roads, good paved roads for the Indian and foreign tourists going to the Valley. Prime Minister could not remember or was not informed that there are unknown destinations, most beautiful, attractive where the people do not have shoes to wear or food to eat. They live on ‘sattoos’ (barley) and these places are known to everybody—Marwah, Dachhan, Warwan. There are no roads to reach there. The human beings live a life of cattle. And these places are in Jammu Pradesh in Kishtwar district. The Prime Minister should have been informed that there is a sensitive area in Jammu Pradesh, Poonch which is nearly 250 kms. (west) from Jammu. It takes more than 10 hours to reach there. When Prime Minister declares Udhampur-Banihal road leading to the Valley, why and how he forgot the plight of people of Rajouri and Poonch. They also needed road. They are also citizens of India and facing continues shelling and threats from across the LoC. Was it not blunder on the part of Prime Minister to ignore Poonch-Rajouri.

The most political issue confronting the people of J&K is delimitation of the Assembly constituencies. Kashmir Valley has 46 seats whereas Jammu Pradesh has only 37. The area of Jammu Pradesh is 28,000 sq. kms. as compared to the Valley which has its area of 13,000 sq. kms. The number of electorates in both the provinces is almost same. Delimitation was held throughout India after 2001 census. Why J&K was ignored? Is it not integral part of India? Why Prime Minister ignored this issue?

The Prime Minister yet committed another blunder that he failed to congratulate the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh for their unique spirit to live in mutual co-existence. The people of J&K are wedded to the composite culture for thousands of years. The Prime Minister did not spare a word to congratulate the people. It is Jammu and Kashmir which is a Muslim majority state yet we have got great holy places like, Shri Amarnath Cave, Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Kheer Bhawani, Chhati Badshahi, Shankeracharya Temple, Hazratbal. The Prime Minister failed to appreciate the existing situation and the aspirations of the people of Jammu Pradesh, Kashmir Valley and Ladakh regions. Prime Minister should show his wisdom and courage by declaring let the people of Jammu Pradesh have their state, so Kashmir Valley and Ladakh.

Alas! The Prime Minister Modi dared not say ‘Jai Hind’ after his speech and that was an unfortunate message.

Panthers Party asks Modi to respond to the wishes of Jammuites, delimitation, Jammu refugees

Several NPP activists today resorted to a massive dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi asking Prime Minister Modi to come out with clean slate on his commitments to the Jammuites and the people of J&K when he shall address the hotch-potch rally in Srinagar comprising of doves and hawks organized by PDP and BJP alliance partners in J&K government on 7th November, 2015.

The Panthers Party dharna at Panthers Party’s camp office (in exile) held at Jantar Mantar this morning asked Modi to tell the people of Jammu Pradesh about his real intention on all important and sensitive issues dealing with the solidarity and security of India. The Panthers Party spelled out some of the issues which needed attention of Prime Minister Modi while he addresses the crowd in Srinagar. The issues include; amendment in Article 370, comprehensive settlement of 15 lacs refugees from POK & Pak suffering in Jammu Pradesh, delimitation of Assembly constituencies to remove discrimination against Jammu Pradesh, establishment of AIIMS in Jammu, introduction of Fundamental Rights in J&K, payment of salaries to Govt. employees, labourers and all & when Jammu (Talwara) Migrants shall get justice according to SC Judgment?

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has misled rather exploited the residents of Jammu Pradesh by invoking the sensitive issues promising to respond to the aspirations of the Jammuites, Pak and POK refugees, non-employed youth, under employed youth, the exploited panchayats in all that. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has been trapped by the western power to implement Dixon Plan so that Jammu Pradesh is dividing on communal lines and Kashmir is carved out on Dixon Plan.

jantar-mantar          Prof.Bhim Singh said that Jammu State is the only solution and the boundaries of the state were defined by Maharaja Gulab Singh by 1846. He said that State of Jammu with its composite culture and cultural identity needs to be revived in the greater interest of the people of the Valley and the rest of the country.

NPP volunteers shall draw PM’s attention on his commitment for Jammuites

The National Panthers Party volunteers shall resort to one-day protest/dharna in New Delhi, Jammu and other places to draw attention of Prime Minister Modi towards the promises and the commitment he has made to the people of Jammu Pradesh during election to the Lok Sabha and the Assembly.

The Panthers Party shall hold a protest/dharna in Jantar Mantar under the leadership of Prof.Bhim Singh and several senior leaders on the national level. The Panthers Party shall hold protest/dharna in Jammu Raj Bhawan with the active participation of senior Panthers Party leaders of Panthers Trade Union, Young Panthers, NPSU, Women Power, Panchayat Empowerment Committee and others.

The Panthers Party shall remind the Prime Minister about his different commitments in regard to amendment in Article 370, comprehensive settlement of 15 lacs refugees from POK & Pak suffering in Jammu Pradesh, delimitation of Assembly constituencies to remove discrimination against Jammu Pradesh, establishment of AIIMS in Jammu, introduction of Fundamental Rights in J&K, payment of salaries to Govt. employees, labourers and all & when Jammu (Talwara) Migrants shall get justice according to SC Judgment?

Panthers Party Chief Patron, Prof.Bhim Singh in his three-page letter to the Prime Minister has urged PM to respond the aspirations of suffering people of Jammu Pradesh. He told PM that everybody is waiting for his speech that he is going to deliver on 7th November, 2015 in Srinagar.

Bhim Singh appeals youth of J&K to keep up traditions of communal harmony alive

jantar-manatar office in exile (1)Press Statement of Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party at his Jantar Mantar Camp Office in Exile, New Delhi.
The National Panthers Party shall contest in Bihar Assembly, the names of the candidates and constituencies shall be declared on Sunday. The NPP stands for the implementation of Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan to deliver justice with dignity shall be the mission so that a Movement against corruption, communalism, nepotism and injustice shall be launched by NPP with cooperation of ‘Rashtra Chetna Abhiyan’. Prof.Bhim Singh in reply to a question on coalition/adjustment with any other party said that the parties which are looking for power and money to rob and rule always look for coalition partner sacrificing their commitment to the cause of the people just for the sake of votes and power.
Prof.Bhim Singh said, “I with great missionaries in J&K founded J&K National Panthers Party with a mission to eradicate corruption, communalism, nepotism and illiteracy and destroy the seedling of communalism and sectarianism from the society so that India of the great dreams of Subhash Chander Bose, Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters could be realized. So that India shall read the word in establishing world with complete disarmament, peace in human love. So that there are no more wars, spill of human bloods and bullets.”

On Jammu and Kashmir
Addressing the media persons from the crowded Jantar Mantar Headquarters, Prof.Bhim Singh appealed the people, particularly the youth and students in J&K to act with wisdom, vision and courage to defeat the forces which intend to destabilize Bharat just to destabilize India so that the Anglo-American Bloc succeeds in their Dixon Plan. The Anglo-American Bloc has been using all its tools to create unrest and sabotage India’s unity ever since 1947.
The NPP Supremo appealed the people of J&K particularly the youth of Kashmir to ensure that communal harmony is maintained at all costs lest the foreign power get a chance to disturb peace.
In reply to other questions of the latest situation following the ban on cow slaughter has erupted in J&K, the NPP Supremo expressed full faith in the secular character of the people in the state and said that a law was enacted in the state by the Maharaja nearly 100 years ago in full confidence of the people. He said the Constituent Assembly formed in 1951 under the leadership of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah approved several royal decrees including ban on cow slaughter and state subject. The Jamat-e-Islami MLAs in the Assembly, including Ali Shah Geelani, never raised any objection to this law universally accepted by the people of J&K to show respect to the religious sentiments of non-Muslim fraternity. He said that the Kashmiri Muslims always showed their tolerance, faith in religious co-existence and respect. He praised the Kashmiri Muslim majority for providing all kinds of protection to the minorities in Kashmir during the India’s partition, 1947. He said the Muslims and the non-Muslims have been co-existed as threads interwoven in a cloth. A unique integrated society called Kashmiriat. He said whatever has happened this time it is there because of power hungry politicians who want to create anarchy at any cost by trying to communalize the issues as they have failed on all other fronts in their campaign to provoke violence in Kashmir.
He appealed to the people of the Valley in particular to ensure that communal harmony is not disturbed and the sentiments of the neighbourers are not hurt which is teaching of ‘Islam’.
Prof.Bhim Singh held the present PDP-BJP government responsible for present disorder, anarchy, lawlessness and rise in militancy in the state. He reiterated Panthers Party’s commitment to uphold the sanctities of Kashmiriat, Ladhakiat and Dogriat by the reorganization of the state and declared that the party shall launch a movement from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in their demands seeking;
1. Dismissal of J&K Govt. and imposition of Governor’s Rule,
2. Amendment of Article 370 and revocation of Article 35(A).
3. Reorganization of J&K by establishing ‘Twin States’, i). Kashmir Valley & ii). Jammu Pradesh.
4. Dissolution of the present Assembly and fresh Assembly elections under Governor Rule.
