Bhim Singh calls for communal harmony, urges Governor to dismiss Govt. : Calls on NYC Volunteers to express solidarity

While addressing a press conference in Srinagar (Kashmir), Prof.Bhim Singh urged President of India to advice J&K Governor to dismiss the present government and impose Governor Rule to save the situation from going out of control. He said that the people of J&K have remained committed to secularism for centuries and they are not for any violence for conflict. He accused the state government for the present chaos and anarchy and claimed BJP for the present mess. He said both the coalition partners wanted the Assembly session to be diverted from the real issues including corruption, communalism, delimitation, rehabilitation of Jammu Migrants, return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants, the comprehensive rehabilitation of 15 lacs refugees from POK & Pak and several other issues being faced by the people of Jammu Pradesh.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that the present government has failed to enforce the state laws including legal ban on cow slaughter. He said that the BJP instigated the whole issue by filing a writ petition the J&K High Court and the PDP filed a counter petition in Srinagar only to add fuel to the fire.

Prof.Bhim Singh appealed to the people of J&K, particularly the youth to ensure that the brotherhood is not disturbed and the enemies of the people and foreign powers do not try to sabotage peace in the country.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that bandh call by Panthers Party in Jammu Pradesh was to draw the attention of the Central leadership that the people of Jammu shall no longer be allowed to be treated as slaves.

About the resolution of the present situation, Prof.Bhim Singh demanded Governor Rule without delay. Dissolution of the Assembly so that fresh election may be held to enable the people to elect the government on their choice to strengthen peace and brotherhood.

Prof.Bhim Singh also visited the NYC volunteers who have been sitting on hunger strike for the past 40 days in Pratap Park, Srinagar demanding jobs/work as was the commitment of the state. The leaders of the NYC volunteers welcomed Prof.Bhim Singh and Panthers Party senior leaders from Kashmir.

The senior Panthers Party leaders including Vice President, Masood Andrabi, Provincial President, Farooq Ahmed Dar, State Secretary, Sewa Singh Bali, several district presidents and office bearers accompanied Prof.Bhim Singh. Prof.Bhim Singh also expressed gratitude to the people of Jammu for their support to the ‘bandh’ in Jammu today.

Governor Rule is the only way out to save J&K from further death & total destruction

An emergency meeting of JKNPP was held in its headquarters in Srinagar (Kashmir) under the chairmanship of Kashmir Province President, Mr. Farooq Ahmed Dar. Prof.Bhim Singh was the Chief Guest in the meeting.

Several District Presidents of Kashmir Valley, Members of the Working Committee and senior Panthers Party leaders participated. In a resolution Panthers Party expressed  deep shock on the dangerous situation that has arisen in the state following total collapse of the administration and non-existent of the government. The JKNPP also reviewed the situation created by the failure of state government to enforce the existing laws of the state and maintain communal harmony and brotherhood which has remained a symbol of J&K for centuries. The Kashmir Council of JKNPP in a resolution urged President of Inida to advice Shri N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K to dismiss the present government forthwith and impose Governor Rule without delay so that a common man may feel safe and secured in the state who has lost faith in the present government. In another resolution the Panthers Party made a strong appeal to the people of J&K particularly the youth and the students to come forward to maintain communal harmony and strengthen brotherhood which has been in-existent for centuries. The Panthers Party also congratulated the Panthers Party leadership for working to uphold the values of secularism, brotherhood and fundamental rights of every resident of the state.

The Panthers Party in its resolution said that this is right time to invoke Section 92 of the J&K Constitution to impose Governor Rule by dismissing the government and dissolving Assembly. People in both provinces Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh feel cheated by the ruling parties and would like to choose a government of their choice which can protect the interest of the people and the country.

Addressing the Panthers Party working committee and the activists in Srinagar, Prof.Bhim Singh appeal to the party leadership to continue their battle for maintaining peace and brotherhood and carrying on the movement for Governor Rule without delay. He said that handful of state politicians are working as ‘shaitan’to disturb peace in the state and damage unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country. Such elements must be defeated and the Panthers Party is capable of playing that part in the present situation.

The senior leaders of Panthers Trade Union also participated.

RSS storm against BJP adventure in J&K, In Bengaluru Meet, Modi pleads not guilty

“In a strong reaction to the BJP decision to go for coalition in J&K with pro-self rule PDP sacrificing entire BJP’s agendas and principles came under heavy attack by several RSS leaders in the BJP’s executive meeting at Bengaluru last week. The Prime Minister had to come for the defense of the neo-policy of BJP government which aims at sharing power in J&K to enable BJP to make its entry into the power house after nearly six decades of independence.” This was the reaction recorded by Prof.Bhim Singh while reacting to the decision of the BJP executive in Bengaluru apparently supporting the coalition policy of the BJP. Prof.Bhim Singh said that BJP has now been totally exposed to the hilt that its agenda was and is only to seek power and money whether it goes with the Akalies in Punjab or anti-national forces in J&K.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has no words in his kitty to defend the ‘surrender’ and ‘rehabilitation policy’ framed under the leadership of PDP and Congress in 2010 and now being enforced by PDP & BJP government in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh said that in 2008 it was Congress-PDP government which facilitated the Pakistani militants entering J&K via Nepal under the guise of surrendered militants. The J&K government in its affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on a petition of J&K National Panthers Party, in 2010 admitted that more than 800 Pak-trained militants were brought to J&K via Nepal by the Government of J&K for their rehabilitation in Kashmir. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the PDP-Congress government had admitted in its affidavit filed before the Supreme Court that Rs.3 to 5 lacs were given to each such family on their return to J&K via Nepal for rehabilitation whereas Rs.3 to 5 thousands were being paid regularly by the government. Shockingly, the government of India had been defending the government of J&K in this dangerous game. The tragedy now has been focused on the coalition government between BJP & PDP, which has implemented this policy with vigour and commitment allowing thousands of Pakistanis who got training in Pakistan (they had been claiming that they were Kashmiris and had gone to Pakistan for military training in the nineties). They have been allowed to return under the new policy of BJP-PDP government in J&K and nearly Rs.500 crores has already been invested by Mufti-Modi government on the rehabilitation of the Pakistan trained militants (they cannot be called or defined as separatists as they are Pak-nationals and have been brought by the J&K government illegally via Nepal with full knowledge of Prime Minister Modi and his government).

The BJP for the sake of power in the state sacrificed all its agendas, may it be 370, 15 lac refugees from Pak and POK, delimitation of Assembly constituencies, Resettlement Act or the like. Prime Minister Modi failed to convince the critics within the executive.

Who is sabotaging peace in J&K or attacking military and paramilitary camps in Jammu or in Kashmir has to be understood in its right perspective.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on all nationalists and peace loving political parties and particularly the youth and students to join hands with the Panthers Party in the interest of national security, unity and sovereignty. BJP has to choose between the national interest and the political power and personal gains or meet waterloo that it met in Delhi Assembly elections.

SC asks J&K for status report on Committee constituted by SC for relief to flood victims

A division bench of the Supreme Court headed by Mr. Justice Madan B. Lokur today directed the Advocate-General of J&K Govt. to provide status report to the court regarding the distribution of relief to the flood victims in J&K. Supreme Court was hearing a writ petition filed by J&K National Panthers Party and others for the distribution of equitable relief in cash and kind to the victims of floods and rain in Jammu and Kashmir in September, 2014.

Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr. Advocate appearing for JKNPP submitted that the Supreme Court on 24thSeptember, 2014 constituted a Special Five-Member Committee to monitor the distribution of relief to the floods and rain victims all over the state. The committee comprising of the Senior Registrar of the High Court (Convenor), Secretary, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Govt. of J&K, a nominee of the Union of India besides President, J&K High Court Bar Association at Srinagar and President, J&K High Court Bar Association at Jammu was appointed as the Members of the Special Committee. The Committee was directed to submit its interim report within four weeks. The committee submitted its report on 09.10.2014. The four members of the committee signed the report except the Revenue and Rehabilitation Secretary of J&K Govt. Mr. Vinod Koul. Prof.Bhim Singh further submitted that Mr. Koul in his decision not to sign the report remarked in writing that, “More than 95% of the affected areas were yet to be covered as such”. He had further stated that the Committee required sufficient time for visiting the other affected areas to ascertain the factual position. He had prayed for extension in time”.

Prof.Bhim Singh strongly argued that the committee was to monitor the relief and rehabilitation programmes of the State Govt. He strongly objected that State Disaster Management Authority has not been constituted and if any floated formerly was not engaged in the process of distribution of relief or verify claims and counter claims. He charged the Govt. of J&K for misusing Central aid for their political interest ignoring thousands of affected farmers and others. He urged the court to ask the committee to submit its comprehensive report regarding distribution or fixation of relief to the floods and rain victims.

Supreme Court granted four weeks to the Govt. of J&K to file its status report.

Prof.Bhim Singh was assisted by Mr. B.S. Billowria, Mr. D.K. Garg, Mr. S. K. Bandopadhyay, Advocates.
