In continuation of the old traditions, National Integration Camp was held this year which had been initiated in 1978 by Prof. Bhim Singh when he was elected Member of Legislative Assembly from Chenani. Sudhmahadev dates back to thousands of years since Lord Shiva married Parvati in Mantalai, six kms. from Sudhmahadev and came to rest in Sudhmahadev where he killed Rakshas Sudha who attained a vardan from Shiva and thus this land came to be call Sudha Mahadev. The National Integration Camp with Pritibhoj (Mahayagya) was organized every year by the Panthers Party under the patronage of Prof. Bhim Singh. The resolution also demanded to declare the hill areas of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi as national tourist resorts in Jammu. It demanded further investment of Rs.1000 crores for the promotion of tourism in Jammu Pradesh. The resolution welcomed the proposition which Prof. Bhim Singh introduced at the time of formation of the J&K National Panthers Party in March 1982. The Sudhmahadev resolution also advocated full support to the Panthers Party resolution to have separate Chief Ministers, administration and provincial legislatures besides separate and independent working secretariats in Jammu and Srinagar. In another resolution the Panthers Party declared to carry to the logical conclusion the declaration of the party to ensure equitable development, strengthen secular and nationalist forces in the state so that the bonds of national integration are strengthened.
