Public Sale of Women

A Challenge for Men in Power

VOM Special

Prostitution is no doubt an international disgrace on the face of human race, yet a nation with great cultural heritage and civilization like India has to meet this challenge to ensure that this human disgrace is washed away from the face of a civilization. There must be hundreds of human beings looking for bread by selling their flesh to the male human beings right a couple of kilometers away from the House of Great Parliament, the seat of law-makers where India’s sovereignty resides. It is a great challenge to those who have been sitting on the seat of power to find lasting solution to ensure the end of the evils may it be prostitution or gambling or the like. The great faces which people and even those wretched of the earth must have been watching from the gloomy lanes of their destiny promising heavens and skies to their countrymen. These wretched of the earth must be voting for their representatives to the Parliament.

What a shame no leader has moral courage or compassion to seek their salvation and find an honourable and dignified means for their livelihood by taking them out of these inhuman gutters of humanity. We have spent 5000 crores for a railway line in a state where there is no connection with the national railway track. We have spent more than 10,000 crores for building bridges where there are no rivers.

We spent thousands of crores for the rehabilitation of earthquakes victims in Kashmir and elsewhere. What is stopping us from sparing couple of thousand crores for the rehabilitation & honourable living of these exploited women who formed integral part of the society?

The Indian civilization has identified a woman as incarnation of the Goddess, ardhangni (half of the man) and the Parliament has been demanding their legitimate share in the government offices and Legislatures.

Can’t they boldly clean the dirt from their spotless khadi, the leaders have been wearing. This is a challenge for the new generation of leadership in the great civilized nation like India.

T20 destroys Cricket Game

VOM Sports Correspondent

So mass popular a game has turned out to be a gambling agency for the Revenue Collectors who had no idea of Cricket Game or the people’s interest in the game. 50 over game was reasonable acceptable and workable but T20 has proved a disaster for the credibility of the game. It has shown that this game is no more meant for the Cricket lovers but for the gamblers and money makers in the recently held T20 cricket tournament which ended in South Africa has a bet in the final crossing 10,000 crores.

This is a matter of shame that a country like India has turned a popular game into a gambling hut enabling the busy bodies and thugs to use cricket game as a gambling den. A survey has shown a decline of interest upto 60% among the cricket fans in the country.

The new minister of youth and sports, Mr. M.S. Gill must exert himself to save once a favourite game of the masses from total destruction.
