NPP Supremo urges President to invoke Governor Rule in J&K, dissolve State Govt & Assembly

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party urged the President of India to invoke Article 370, though temporary yet commanding the President of India to dissolve J&K Assembly and the government when the State Govt. fails to maintain law and order in the state and providing security to the citizens of India.

Yet happened several times when the State governments headed by well known political leaders including Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah, Bakshi Ghulam Mohd., Dr. Farooq Abdullah and others failed to defend the citizens of India and protect the lives of the innocent citizens of India in the state of J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh appealed to the Indian Parliament as a whole irrespective of their political ideologies or political association.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that the entire country stands witnessed to the past tragedies that were faced by the people of J&K during the Congress, National Conference and today that of PDP-BJP government.

Prof.Bhim Singh while addressing a Legal Aid Committee today urged the Supreme Court of India to advice the President of India to go for Governor Rule in the State that power the Governor of J&K can invoke on the advice of President of India. Prof.Bhim Singh said that it is a tragedy that Parliament of India has not been vested any authority in it to intervene for the safety and security of the permanent Indian citizens. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed surprise why the Indian Parliament has been kept away from its constitutional authority to intervene in the matters concerning the State Accession vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir. Prof.Bhim Singh wondered about the silence of the Indian Parliament which has not cared to promulgate the State of J&K with the rest of the country when the State Maharaja Hari Singh had signed the Instrument of Accession like other 575 States.

Prof.Bhim Singh reminded the Parliament of India to explain the reason about its silence and tell the entire country how and why two states–Hyderabad and Jungargh were declared merged with the Union of India when their rulers had not signed even the Instrument of Accession at all. He also asked the Parliament and political leadership of all the parties to explain why J&K has not been merged till date when its Maharaja had signed the Instrument of Accession on 26th October, 1947 earlier than the State of Baroda. Prof.Bhim Singh demanded that any or all FIRs filed against the officials or political workers should be withdrawn by the state without any delay. Prof.Bhim Singh reminded the tallest leader in the country about the FIRs against the Panthers Party leadership including its General Secretary Ms. Anita Thakur, Advocate H.C. Jalmeria, Vice President P.K. Ganjoo. The Supreme Court of India awarded compensation of Rs.4 lacs and the State Govt. had to pay that compensation. Yet the cases against the Panthers Party leaders are being tried in Reasi district for 11 years. He questioned sincerity and honesty of the State government.
