NPP Supremo urges President of India for intervention in J&K, seeks imposition Governor Rule

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party who is also a Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court and a distinguished human rights activist in the country wrote a strong letter to Shri Ramnath Kovind, the President of India to invoke the letter and spirit of the Constitution of J&K and the Constitution of India to promulgate Governor Rule in J&K in the national interest as the present government in J&K has failed to protect the people of J&K from the wrath of foreign sponsored militants operating in J&K for the past three years under PDP-BJP (RSS) government in the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh wrote in his letter that Section 92 of J&K Constitution empowers President of India to advice the Governor of J&K to impose Governor Rule whenever there is a failure of the State government to protect the life and liberty of the citizens of India.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the President of India in his letter that the Governor Rule is essential for the safety and security of the citizens of India (all residents of J&K are citizens of India). Prof.Bhim Singh said that Governor Rule was imposed in J&K during the time of Nehru, Shastri ji, Mrs. Indira Gandhi and others as Prime Ministers of India.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the President of India that he may seek the opinion of the Supreme Court of India being head of the state in this matter, if he desires. He said that Governor Rule at the moment is the only way out to save the people of J&K from further death and destruction. He said this is only way to restore confidence of the people by restoring their confidence and trust in the Indian Constitution.
