Press Release NPP Supremo urges CEC to postpone Assembly polls in Gujarat Election Rules vitiated by BJP & Congress both

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party who returned this afternoon from election provoked atmosphere of Gujarat, dashed a brief letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Mr. Achal Kumar Joti, Nirvachan Sadan, New Delhi urging for the withdrawal of poll dates fixed on 14th December, 2017 as the poll process has been vitiated by both. The BJP leader-cum-President, Shri Narendra Modi and one day old elected President of the Congress Shri Rahul Gandhi. Both of them chose famous temples in Gujarat to bell the election campaign which is in direct violation of the election rules and violated the provisions of the Constitution of India which require to maintain Code of Conduct. Prof.Bhim Singh in his letter addressed Shri Narendra Modi as under:-

“This is to urge on the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner of India to kindly cancel Gujarat Assembly polls-2017 for the reason that the main political party namely, BJP and the Congress have violated the Code of Conduct during the election campaign for the Assembly election. I with my team of J&K National Panthers Party and some social activists visited Gujarat on 12th December, 2017. The concluding day for election campaign for the second phase of Assembly polls. I along with my colleagues visited several political persons in Gujarat, mainly in the State capital city, Ahmedabad on 12th December, 2017.

The most tragic part which has been widely reported in the print and the electronic media with heavy visuals was on the local, national and international electronic media channels. The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi was shown in his majestic over a local river water flying to pay his visit to a famous temple where he prayed for the success of Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming election and the message was carried to every voter in the State that Prime Minister Modi ji is God fearing Prime Minister praying God for His blessings in the Assembly election for the second phase on 14th December, 2017. Mr. Rahul Gandhi declared elected as President of Indian National Congress only in the morning also dashed to a local temple in Gujarat seeking His blessing in the Assembly election. It remains to be seen whether God shall be blessing both of them or ignore one against another.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that from Nehru till Dr. Manmohan Singh the rule was that temples or any religious institution shall not be used or exploited by the politicians or the political parties for seeking electoral support from the religious places. This is an established Law of land and applicable in Gujarat also that no religious institution can be exploited or used for political campaign during Parliamentary and Assembly elections at all.

Prof.Bhim Singh who visited Gujarat with his team returned this afternoon from Gujarat and wrote this message with strong appeal to the Chief Election Commissioner of India to act fearlessly, boldly and in the interest of basic Fundamental Rights enshrined in the Constitution of India which demand immediate cancellation of Gujarat Assembly elections.

Besides an urgent meeting should be convened by the Chief Election Commissioner of India inviting the representatives of all political parties and seek their advice about the next course of action that needs to be taken vis-à-vis Assembly election in Gujarat. So that no political party nor any political leader, may it be Prime Minister of India or anybody else, shall dare to play mockery with the rule of law and in the mandate of the Constitutional provisions.

NPP Supremo hoped that the Hon’ble Election Commission of India shall play his destined role come what may so that rule of law shall rule for the coming generations.”
