NPP Supremo urges President of India to impose Governor rule in J&K under Art. 370 in national interest

Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India and elected Sr. Executive Member of Supreme Court Bar Association today made a strong appeal to Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India to invoke Article 370, though temporary since 1950, yet empowers President of India to invoke Governor Rule under Article 370 in the State of J&K which has not been merged yet as was the case with 576 states which formed Union of India on 26th January, 1950. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Article 370 was temporary and could not be kept alive on oxygen for 70 years by the Parliament of India. He accused the Parliament of India for betraying the cause of the people of J&K who under the leadership of their Maharaja (Maharaja Hari Singh) acceded to the Union of India on 26th October, 1947 yet the Parliament has not acceded State of J&K with the rest of the country. Nearly half of the state territory is under the illegal occupation of Pakistan and China since 1948.

Prof.Bhim Singh who returned from Banaras (Varanasi) this morning accused in this press statement the present rulers (BJP) who have literally deceived the people of J&K in particularly and whole country in general by their total failure to exercise the power of the Parliament to integrate the entire State of J&K with the rest of the country in the spirit of the Instrument of Accession which was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh, the only competent authority recognized by the British Parliament in 1946 acceding the State of J&K with the Union of India. Prof.Bhim Singh accused the Parliament under the leadership of Congress earlier and now under the leadership of BJP to betray the people of J&K by refusing to integrate the State of J&K with the rest of the country as was done by the Parliament on 26th January, 1950 by accepting the merger Resolutions (Instruments of Accession) of 575 states. Prof.Bhim Singh accused the leadership to merge J&K with the rest of the country on 26th January, 1950 blaming the Maharaja of J&K for this blunder which in fact and in law has been committed by the Members of the successive Parliament since 1951.

Prof.Bhim Singh who returned from Varanasi this morning told the press in New Delhi that the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has thrown to the winds all the conventions and the essence of parliamentary democracy by leading the so-called Road Shows for two days in Varanasi by sacrificing all norms and decency that the Prime Minister of India was ought to preserve being Prime Minister of the greatest democracy of the world.

Prof.Bhim Singh campaigned in Varanasi area on the concluding day of the election campaign on 6th March, 2017 appealing the voters of Uttar Pradesh and Manipur who shall be exercising their franchise on 8th March, 2017 to keep BJP out of their agenda on the polling day as BJP led by Shri Narendra Modi has sacrificed all the norms and political decency by leading a road show in his Parliamentary Constituency spending millions of rupees in total defiance of electoral rules and laws. Prof.Bhim Singh also urged the Chief Election Commission of India to hold inquiry as to how much money was spent by Shri Narendra Modi and his BJP in his Parliamentary Constituency in Varanasi only and to tell the people of this country who is violating the rules and norms laid down by the law and Election Commission of India. Prof.Bhim Singh also expressed deep shock on the conduct of electronic and print media on their continuous silence on the State of Affairs connected with the so-called election campaign particularly that of BJP led by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
