Bhim Singh questions Farooq Abdullah & P. Chidambaram on their highly incredible statements on Kashmir situation

Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr.Advocate of Supreme Court and Executive Chairman (Hony.) of State Legal Aid Committee, J&K has expressed deep shock on the belated and anti-national statements vis-à-vis the situation in J&K which appeared in the national press this morning. Farooq Abdullah came out openly in support of militancy in Kashmir whereas P. Chidambaram, ex-Union Minister, Govt. of India had a made a forecast saying that, “Kashmir is sleeping out of India’s hand”. The NPP Supremo reminded all those who are playing in the hands of foreign agencies, directly or indirectly to promote the process of disintegration of the great Union of India. Prof. Bhim Singh said USSR disintegrated because of the weak links of the Russian leadership and not because of the people. The foreign agencies have become more active than they were before the election of the new USA President, Mr. Donald Trump.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that people of J&K stood for India and defeated the Pakistani raiders in 1947 persuading the Maharaja of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh to sign the Instrument of Accession which he did on 26th October, 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed surprise that the Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja Hari Singh has not been promulgated/implemented till this day which is apparent from record. He said that Parliament of India has a great responsibility to fill in the gap and approve the merger document in which Maharaja of J&K had offered for the merger of J&K with the rest of the country.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on the leadership of India and from other sensitive areas like J&K to think before they speak to attract media attention for their cheap publicity in the media. Prof.Bhim Singh said that it will be too harsh to accuse pass a judgment against the conduct and credibility of those who once were the partners in the governance in India or governed the State of J&K for decades. Prof.Bhim Singh warned this outdated leadership to beware that the new generation with new thinking is awakened lest they face such opportunist leaders on the streets. He said that one Flag from Kashmir to Kanyakumari with one Constitution assuring all fundamental rights to the residents of J&K shall have to be mandatory for all in the interest of national unity and integration.

Reorganization of J&K as it existed before 1846 Is only way out to strengthen National Integration

Addressing a battery of advocates at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi this afternoon, Prof.BhimSingh, Sr. Advocate & Co-Chairman of Conference Organization today appealed the Bar Council of India in cooperation with the Bar Associations of the High Courts to participate in a special seminar on the resolution of J&K Constitutional problem which has been created following illegal occupation of Pakistan and China over nearly half of the territory of J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh said that out of 84,000 sq. miles of J&K territory nearly 20,000 sq. miles has been illegally occupied by China since 1961 in the Ladakh sector whereas Pakistan’s illegal occupation continues since 1947/48. Prof.Bhim Singh said that 46,00 sq. miles of J&K territory was illegally occupied by Pakistan in 1947 when the raiders supported and abetted by Pakistan attacked J&K on October 20, 1947. China continues its illegal occupation of nearly 4,500 sq. miles of J&K territory it occupied in 1963 when Govt. of Pakistan headed by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto transferred the State territory to China. This territory remains occupied illegally by China since 1963.

Besides, Pakistan occupied Gilgit-Baltistan province of J&K in 1947/48 by attacking J&K in 1947/48 and occupied 32,000 sq. miles comprising of Gilgit and Baltistan which were part of the territory of the Dogra ruled State of J&K till 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Pakistan in September 2009 declared this occupied territory of J&K in Gilgit-Baltistan as territory of Pakistan which was totally illogical, illegal, violation of United Nations Resolution of 1948 in which United Nations had directed Pakistan to vacate all territories of J&K which Pakistan had occupied in 1947-48. Pakistan violated this resolution of the Security Council several times even when Pakistan parted the territories of J&K in Gilgit region in 1963 in violation of UN Charter.

Prof.Bhim Singh declared that he shall convene a meeting of lawyers fraternity and representatives of Bar Association of all High Courts. He said he shall also invite the members of Bar Council of India to work out a methodology and a constitutional mechanism to mobilize the Parliament of India to take appropriate steps to integrate J&K (the territory which is at the moment annexed constitutionally with the Union of India) with the rest of the country through an appropriate amendment in a temporary provision under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution without any delay so that the confusion and chaos is over once for all on the constitutional relationship between the State of J&K and the rest of the country.

Bhim Singh calls on Parliament of India to extend Fundamental Rights to J&K with National Flag to remove discrimination

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party while addressing a massive Panthers rally at Ramnagar, home tehsil of Prof.Bhim Singh called on the Parliament to remove 67 years old discrimination with the residents of J&K who voluntarily adopted Indian nationality in 1947. NPP Supremo accused the Indian Parliament for keeping J&K outside the Union of India in 1950 when the Parliament merged 577 states into the Union of India. J&K was deliberately kept out of the panel and its Accession signed by the then ruler of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh was not included in the Union. Prof.Bhim Singh while addressing the Panthers Party workers and the elite of the historic Ramnagar which has an old Fort where the elders of Prof.Bhim Singh were slaughtered by the then rulers around 1850.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that this is most shocking that the State of J&K has not been merged with Union of India till today  although its ruler acceded to the Union of India on 26thOctober, 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh in his mother tongue Dogri, expressed shock on the conduct of the Parliament which has eight Members in the Parliament from J&K yet none has right to move any constitutional matter relating to the State of J&K because J&K has a separate Constitution which works as a nail on the stomach of the Indian Constitution.

Prof.Bhim Singh met many friends who have also gone older like him who were his companions and colleagues during school days from 1953 to 1956 in Ramnagar.

Prof.Bhim Singh also visited the family of Late Shri Karimullah, a close associate/friend of Bhim Singh during his schooling in Ramnagar High School. It was Shri Karimullah who refused to sign a statement before the Headmaster of the High School against Bhim Singh. The local National Conference leaders had planned to expel Bhim Singh from the High School. It was Shri Karimullah who stood firm with Bhim Singh. Got expelled himself, lost his chance to sit in exam in matriculation but saved Bhim Singh from expulsion.

Prof.Bhim Singh also met several friends and old school mates in Ramnagar.
