Later addressing a public meeting at Poonch bordering Line of Control which was created in 1948 after the ceasefire was ordained by the Security Council of the United Nations. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the great people of Poonch have fought with all strength, courage and commitment against Pakistani Army in 1947-48 favouring secular India and deciding to support Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja Hari Singh on 26th October, 1947.

Prof.Bhim Singh writes to Shri N.N. Vohra, Governor of J&K urging for imposition of Governor Rule in J&K

“I am taking this liberty urging upon your honour to dissolve the present J&K Assembly and dismiss the BJP-PDP government as the present government has totally failed to govern the State for the past five months. The Supreme Court of India had also sought information through the Attorney-General of India while hearing a writ petition filed by the Panthers Party before the Supreme Court seeking intervention of the Supreme Court for appropriate direction to the Union of India within the meaning and scope of Article 370.

I had filed rejoinder to the report submitted by the Attorney-General of India on the existing situation in J&K. I had maintained that the Governor has to act under Section 92 of J&K Constitution by taking over the governance in J&K as the present government comprising PDP and BJP had failed to govern. This is clear from the reports from Kashmir this afternoon that life was affected in Kashmir Valley today due to a strike called by Hurriyat Conference and others.

The authentic report today revealed that the shops, fuel stations and business establishments in Kashmir remained shut. Even the public transport failed to operate. This makes it clear that the present government has failed to perform and there is no working of the government.

It is urged on the Hon’ble Governor to impose Governor Rule by invoking Section 92 of the Constitution of J&K read with Article 370 of the Constitution of India in the interest of security and sovereignty of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

I strongly urge the Hon’ble Governor to exercise his authority in the interest of unity, security and sovereignty vis-à-vis J&K. Governor Rule is the only way out.”

Governor Rule is only way out to rescue 13 million Indian citizens in J&K

A petition has been made to the President of India by Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee to direct the Governor of J&K, Shri N.N. Vohra to dissolve the present J&K Assembly without delay to ensure that J&K as a crown of India and 13 million Indian citizens residing in J&K are rescued from the horrifying volcano which has engulfed the entire humanity in the State of J&K since July 2016. Panthers Party’s writ petition has been pending before the Supreme Court of India for the past four months seeking a direction to the Union of India to impose Governor Rule in J&K and dissolve the present Assembly without any delay in the larger interest of the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India.

Prof.Bhim Singh appealed the President of India to issue necessary direction to the Governor of J&K within the meaning and scope of Section 92 of the Constitution of J&K which provides that Governor of J&K shall bring the state administration under Governor Rule when the governance is collapsed in the state (as it has happened as on today) and the security of the state is under threat because of the foreign threat to the security of the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that present situation is alarming that the government of J&K comprising BJP has caused further threat to the security of the state by sanctioning compensation to the foreign planted militants at the cost of a citizen of J&K which cannot be digested under the given situation which has posed a grave threat to the security and safety of the entire country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
