‘0’ in Tamilnadu, Pondicherry, one in Kerala & three in Bengal, BJP PM should have morally resigned by now

“The BJP has been using its power in the Centre to raise the so-called victory of the BJP in the recently held elections in five states. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been shouting loud with his RSS plank by shouting the so-called majority win in eastern state of Assam. Assam has already been suffocating in the communal tension since the partition and its sensitive borders with Bangladesh. The communal crises have engulfed the entire state of Assam and the leadership in Assam has not been able to address the real problems being faced by the residents of Assam since partition. Assam was reorganized into seven states. The real problem burning the heals in Assam was not attended to properly and with the secular appeal in Assam. Emergence of new political party called Asom Gana Parishad was sabotaged by the ruling clique of Delhi which added to the turmoil and political instability in that state.

Congress remained in power after defeating AGP but its leadership failed miserably to heal the wounds that were causing pain in the minds of the Assamese. The Congress had only agenda absolute power and authoritarian role without taking the confidence of the people. Assam had different categories and tribes which had been living together for centuries.

This was unfortunate that the Congress failed to address the problems of the people of Assam affiliated with different climates, regions, cultures and religion.

The electoral victory of BJP in Assam shall be a short-lived victory for the reason that the people of Assam have been living in social boundaries with human affiliation for centuries. They cannot be divided or segregated from their ancient culture which reflects the era when an Assami prince rode to Kashmir on a horse back and married a Kashmiri girl. There is a historical affinity between Assam and J&K. That is the reason that communalism cannot grow in J&K or in Assam. The victory of the BJP is short-lived yet answer is not an election victory.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on the people of North-East (Assam), and all the Himalayan States in the country to create a Himalayan vision to grow India and project India as a peace-loving nation in the world as it has been for thousands of years. The Himalayan States should not miss the opportunity to establish a Himalayan cultural movement in the country to reunite India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Dwarka to Kohima.

Prof.Bhim Singh proposed that secular-democratic-socialist and peace loving people from all over the country should forge a united movement in the country so that all the communal, sectarian and anti-national mongers are washed away with the winds of secularism, peace and oneness.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Prime Minister Modi a man of cultural identity should quit his Prime Ministership after BJP’s humiliating defeat in four states ranging from 0, 0, 1 & 3 seats in four Assembly elections.

NPP calls on all nationalist-progressive-secular forces to work out a joint action plan to defeat BJP

Addressing a Panthers activists rally in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi this afternoon, Prof.Bhim Singh, its Chief Patron made a strong appeal to all progressive, secular, nationalist and democratic political groups and parties to hold joint conclaves in all political sectors of India to work out a joint strategy to unite India against the communal, anti-national and reactionary forces which have been exploiting the innocent and illiterate masses in the country to suit personal interest of the sectarian and communal forces which have been misleading the innocent and uninformed masses to grab power and loot the nation.

Looking at the voting pattern in the Assembly election the five states which has almost been concluded this afternoon, Prof.Bhim Singh expressed shock that the BJP has started blowing trumpets by winning majority of seats in the 126 Member Assembly state. Prof.Bhim Singh said that BJP could not open an account in Tamilnadu in spite spending over Rs.100 crores in the Assembly elections and could get only one seat Kerala where the BJP had used all foul and corrupt means in the election. The Prime Minister election tour on official helicopter and planes must have cost the national exchequer beyond Rs.50 crores. The people of this country have voted against communal and sectarian political party rejecting the Hindutva philosophy of BJP. This is established by the people that BJP got zero (0) in Tamilnadu & Pondicherry, one in Kerala and three in West Bengal.

BJP, though has got majority in Assam but that majority vote were cost for BJP because utter failure of the Congress and other secular parties to involve the people in the political mission that could have satisfied the people that their problem political as well as economic shall be settled by the political parties. In Assam BJP got majority only because the Congress and other political parties like AGP failed to involve the people of Assam in the progressive and secular philosophy/action plan to settle the problems of the people of Assam mostly created because of illegal infiltration of undesired inflitrators from Bangladesh. NPP Supremo said that Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi has been defeated and he should accept his moral and political defeat. Beating of trumpets and blowing horns in the streets of Assam would not give any credit to the sinking BJP and its leadership in India.

Addressing the strong group of students and youth in Jantar Mantar this afternoon, Prof.Bhim Singh proposed that three day national conclave shall be held in New Delhi in the middle of August, 2016 where the leadership of the youth and students from all progressive/secular/nationalist groups and societies shall be invited to participate. This shall be a great effort to organize a national movement in the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Dwarka to Manipur to ensure that there shall be one Constitution and one Flag in the whole of the country. The outdated provision in the Constitution of India and in the civil and criminal laws shall also be amended so that the concept of equity and equality, peace and non-violence and mutual co-existence and disarmament shall be the new manifesto to unite India towards progress and peace.

Prof.Bhim Singh also proposed a committee of 20 activists to work out a manifesto for the next national convention in New Delhi in August this year.

Fresh poll, the only solution to end J&K turmoil in J&K

Addressing a lawyers conclave, this afternoon in New Delhi, Prof.Bhim Singh, Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee urged President of India to take appropriate constitutional measures and direct Governor of J&K to dissolve the limping Assembly of J&K without any delay so that fresh elections to the Assembly may be held. He said this is the only way out to end chaos, uncertainty and lawlessness in J&K. He said that the present government comprising of hawks and doves in J&K has failed miserably to govern, instead, it has added to more confusion and instability in the state helping the growth of militancy and insecurity in the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Article 370 in the Constitution of India has created wallbetween J&K and the rest of the country. This Article was imposed in the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1950 only to contain and control the vast power of the Maharaja of J&K, Hari Singh. Article 370 collapsed on 20th August, 1952 when so-called Constituent Assembly of J&K passed a resolution to end Monarchy in the state with the end of Monarchy, Article 370 literally collapsed as the authority of the Instrument of Accession prevailed and the state merged with the Union of India like other 577 states. Maharaja Hari Singh living in exile in Bombay did not use his veto power against the merger. He pointed out that the power in the Centre that be failed to put the matter straight before the public. It, rather, tried to exploit the situation by putting Sheikh Abdullah into prison instead of taking appropriate step to delete Article 370 from the pages of the Constitution of India as was required within the domain of the law at that time.

He accused some so-called politicians in Kashmir to trying to flogg the dead horse, Article 370, only to remain in power and legalize their rule and loot. Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Governor who is vested with the absolute power vis-à-vis Article 370 to delete this unconstitutional and uncalled for rather dead letter (Article 370) from the domain of the Constitution of India so that the people of J&K shall also enjoy the rights, rather fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of India and share equity and equality with the co-citizens of India.

This is the only way to win confidence of the people of J&K by ending 66 years colonial dictates under Article 370. The end of Article 370 shall be the end of all kinds of discrimination and misrule in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh said that this shall give an opportunity that people of J&K to go further for its reorganization and genuine democratic rule by reorganization the state of J&K.
