NPP conclave on 25th & 26th June 2016, Reorganization only resolution to J&K situation

Addressing a press conference at Jammu Press Club, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of NPP commanded that Reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir by going back to the geographical status of Jammu and Kashmir as it existed in 1846 before the Treaty of Amritsar. He announced that two days conclave shall be held on 25th & 26th June 2016 at Jammu. This conclave shall be participated by activists of JKNPP from block to state level which shall work out a scientific means for the implementation of the JKNPP declaration, the Reorganization of J&K in the interest of the people of Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh. This shall also keep the interest and welfare of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir in Gilgit region and PoK who are citizens of India according to the Constitution of India living in occupied areas of Jammu and Kashmir.  NPP Supremo said that the residents of PoK and Gilgit as well as those residing in the occupied parts of Ladakh by China, shall be given choice to decide their status. They shall be given right of choosing India.  No force shall be used against PoK or Gilgit or Chinese occupied region. The decision of the people living there shall be final. This is the most important and necessary measure to establish lasting peace with China and Pakistan vis-a-vis Jammu and Kashmir.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that Reorganization of J&K is highly important to establish peace within the state ensuring fundamental rights to all citizens irrespective of their regions or religions or tribes.  He said that Reorganization shall establish twin states in J&K with Kashmir Province State and Jammu Province State.  The two states shall have a common Governor and common High Court with its established working headquarters at Srinagar and in Jammu.

NPP Supremo proposed that the residents of Leh and Kargil have been given special status and they shall be free to choose any further privileges or concession from Government of India.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that organizing committee for the special session has been constituted with Shri Bansi Lal Sharma, Advocate as its Convenor.  He shall be assisted by three Convenors Mr. Farooq Ahmad Dar (Kashmir), Mr. Saleem Sheikh Advocate (Poonch) and Mr. Desh Ratan Pandita (Migrant).  The committee shall also include all 22 Presidents of JKNPP.

The JKNPP strongly condemned the terror acts that shook the Srinagar city yesterday killing serving policemen and civilians.  The party conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the bereaved and demanded a strong judicial probe by a High Court judge into the circumstances and the involvement of some political elements in the whole conspiracy.  Prof. Bhim Singh strongly condemned terror acts in the Valley and strongly argued for the dissolution of J&K government so that the people of Jammu and Kashmir shall get an opportunity to choose their representatives for the Assembly who shall work and fight for the cause of the neglected people of Jammu and Kashmir.
