Bhim Singh urges Home Minister to transfer all Kashmiri under-trials to J&K who are facing trials outside state

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party and Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee has made a strong appeal to Shri Rajnath Singh, the Union Home Minister of India to initiate the fresh process for building confidence measures among the new generation in J&K which has remained neglected for decades because of the power hungry and vested interests in the State of J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh said that leadership in J&K irrespective of their political affiliations, may they be, Congress, National Conference, PDP or otherwise has been exploiting the innocent people of J&K only to retain and capture power, loot the state exchequer by exploiting the innocent people of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir for the past over six decades.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that it is only J&K which is ruled under the power of so-called Public Safety Act (detention without trial) for years without any check on the exercise of power by the state. On the other hand, the detention of a person without trial cannot be extended beyond three months. Prof.Bhim Singh said that he (Bhim Singh) himself spent eight years under detention rule without trial in J&K during his student life. He said that he was kept under detention without trial for more than three years when he was elected Member of Legislative Assembly and the state government was headed by Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah and later by his son Farooq Abdullah.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that Article 370 is being retained to please the power hungry and blood thirsty leaders of J&K who have been ruling the state without rule of law. That’s why the Kashmiri leaders have been armed with the sluggish and ruthless power of Article 370 which has deprived the people of J&K of basic human and fundamental rights which are enshrined in Chapter-III of the Indian Constitution. Prof.Bhim Singh said that people of J&K have been living in an Indian state where there is no rule of law, no democracy, no existence of fundamental rights which are enjoyed by every citizen of India. This is only because Article 370, though, temporary has been imposed in J&K only to bluff the people of J&K so that they could easily and conveniently be robbed off their civil, human and other fundamental rights.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh to bring an important change in J&K by implementing Chapter-III of the Indian Constitution relating to fundamental rights of the Indian citizens so that the people of Kashmir can also enjoy the fundamental rights. He demanded fresh election by the end of this year in J&K under Governor Rule with free and fair procedure and process so that the people of J&K shall enjoy all the fundamental rights guaranteed in Chapter-III in the Indian Constitution. That is the only way to resolve the present conflict in J&K.

To win the confidence of the people of J&K, the first step needed is to transfer all the Kashmiri prisoners detained outside the state back to J&K and hold free and fair trial.

BJP selling national interest for power in Kashmir Shall PM Modi justify grand sell out of Kashmir

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party asked Prime Minister Modi to let the nation know about the secret deal he has hatched with the Anglo-American Bloc for the sale of Kashmir to the Anglo-American Bloc. It appears, he said, that Prime Minister Modi is following the same policy of surrender which was adopted by Mikhail Gorbachev before the fragmentation of the USSR. Prof.Bhim Singh wondered why BJP leader is interested to share power with PDP whose leadership has literally questioned the integration of J&K with the rest of the country. The PDP today is asking the army to vacate their camps and land from Kashmir. The PDP is asking all the hydel projects set up and fully financed by the Union of India to be surrendered to the Kashmir Govt. without any claim. The PDP is asking Prime Minister Modi to withdraw all their claims and demands concerning the full integration of J&K with the rest of the country and full freedom to the J&K Govt. to act as master of the land and hold powers that were enjoyed by the Monarch of J&K.

Prof.Bhim Singh who has been actively involved in the heat of J&K political affairs since 1953 when he is a student of 6th standard and thrown out from the school by the then Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the BJP has won the election by cheating the people of J&K promising full moon without sky and bridges where there were no rivers. He said that the BJP today is looking for power for wealth and other ulterior goals in cooperation with PDP. He said that BJP betrayed the people by exploiting the communal divide and promising full integration of the state with the rest of the country by slashing Article 370. He said that the BJP’s betrayal has been witnessed and experienced by the BJP voters also. He said that the BJP has no moral or political right to continue in the Assembly and this is the right time and also in the interest of the national unity that Assembly is dissolved to hold Assembly elections afresh so that the people (voters) may make their choice without any fear or favour.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that the BJP’s representatives from Delhi have not learnt a bit after experiencing their humiliation, insult and disgraceful reception in Srinagar at the hands of PDP leaders.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India to exercise his constitutional power vested in him by Article 370 of the Constitution of India to dissolve the Assembly without any concurrence or consultation with the Union Cabinet. Article 370 has vested all those powers in the President of India which were vested in the Voiceroy before the Indian Constitution was adopted in 1950. Prof.Bhim Singh said that whatever is happening today in J&K, it is sponsored, promoted and publicized by the leaders of PDP, National Conference as well as the Congress party. The leaders have been exploiting the people of J&K for the past 65 years and flourishing at the miseries, pains and tears of the suffering people of J&K who had chosen India in 1947 without any pressure by rejecting the Jinnah’s two nation’s theory. He said that Maharaja Hari Singh acceded to the Union of India in 1947 but that accession was not given constitutional consent which surfaced on 26th January, 1950 when J&K was excluded from the list of the states which were included in the Union of India. Prof.Bhim Singh held the Constituent Assembly and the Congress leaders responsible for this criminal act against the nation. Prof.Bhim Singh demanded dissolution of the State Assembly so that fresh elections shall be held by the end of this year to form a true democratic people’s government in J&K.

NPP Supremo calls on UHM, Shri Rajnath Singh Urges for immediate fresh Assembly election

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party called on Shri Rajnath Singh, the Union Minister for Home Affairs today and made a strong appeal for holding fresh Assembly election in J&K to save the State from further death and destruction so that the people of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir may get an opportunity to election popular Assembly of the people to establish lasting peace at end the rule of bullets and guns.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Home Minister to intervene so that the local press, public propaganda and the media shall not undermine the nationalist spirit of the Kashmiries. He accused the ruling elite and the press for defaming the opposition leaders and politicians who do not subscribe to the ideology of the ruling clique. He said that any person in Kashmir Valley who is opposed to the ruling clique and does not accept their anti-people policy is being denounced as a‘separatist’. Similarly, those who do not agree with the policies of the ruling clique for being denounced as communalists. He said that ruling class has been treating the people of J&K likeguinea-pigs and have been exploited ever since Maharaja Hari Singh acceded to the Union of India on 26th October, 1947.

NPP Supremo said that people of J&K whether in Ladakh, Kashmir Valley or in Jammu Pradesh have been living with dignity as citizens of India yet some angry leaders in Kashmir Valley are being denounced as separatists by the ruling clique and the press. He urged the Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh to intervene in this matter so that no Indian citizen in J&K is denounced or charged as anti-national or as a ‘separatist’. He made a strong appeal to the media, press and commercial politicians to stop using slang and contemptuous remarks against the Kashmiri leaders by calling them separatists. He said that this is a conspiracy to give an impression to the world and to the international media that the Kashmiries are separatists which means they are against Indian nationalism.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Union Minister to take immediate measures to shut such voices in writing or in speech, which condemn the Kashmiries rather provoke them against Union of India. Prof.Bhim Singh said that these were the Kashmiri Muslims led by Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah in 1946 who stood against the division of India rather they stood against the creation of Pakistan. It were the Kashmiri Muslims who did not accept the theory of partition of India or for the creation of an Islamic State. He said that the history should be taught to the younger generations that there were the Kashmiri Muslim leaders in particular who denounced Mohd. Ali Jinnah and his philosophy of two-nation’s theory’.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Union Home Minister to intervene in person, utilize the services of the J&K Police only to deal with local unrest or in law and order situation. Prof.Bhim Singh also urged the Union Home Minister to advice the J&K Governor to constitute an all party consultation committee in J&K so that the genuine civil/political representatives of all the three regions could be involved and the day to day issues could be settled peacefully and respectfully between the Governor’s administration and the civil society.

Prof.Bhim Singh appealed to the youth, students and intelligentsia in the entire State of J&K to work in cooperation and in solidarity so that the people of all the three regions shall get justice, honour and security with full scope of all the fundamental and human rights enshrined in Chapter-III of the Indian Constitution. Equality before law and equal protection of law for all. The people of J&K should be guaranteed this licence also as is available to the citizens of India in rest of the country. He urged the Union Home Minister to dissolve the present Assembly and hold fresh election, free and fair so that the faith of people of J&K is restored in democracy, which has been tumbling till this day.

‘Kashmir’ dark smokes smoulder in JNU Modi Govt. cannot be absolved

This is a great tragedy that the some political parties in the Parliament and State Legislatures who have been behaving in such way on the political arena causing threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the entire nation. The most unfortunate happening in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) last week where the saboteurs and secessionists elements were challenging the unity and the integrity of the whole country. Such incidents need to be condemned without any reservation as the nation and its sovereignty is much more important for the survival of the whole country. Some elements, may be so-called student leaders acted in a manner at the JNU which deserves condemnation by all and particularly those who believe in the unity, integrity and sovereignty of entire country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Manipur to Dwarka.”Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Executive Chairman of the State Legal Aid Committee and Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court made this statement this afternoon. During his interaction with the social activists at Panthers Party’s office in exile at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

Prof.Bhim Singh appreciated the unbiased and a scientific statement describing the happenings at the JNU as unacceptable and undesirable. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the Home Minister should appoint a commission without any delay to identify the individuals and the groups of the people whether affiliated with a political party or not to find out the activities of such elements/forces which are threatening the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India which has emerged as the largest democracy in the world in spite of several distresses and strains.

Prof.Bhim Singh said the institutions like JNU are running at the cost of state exchequer for which every citizen is paying directly or indirectly. JNU cannot be allowed to become a center of anti-national or anti-India activities. No person in the country is above the parameters laid down in the Constitution and nation is sovereign. Sharing the fruits of democracy in an Indian university and living at the expense of the state exchequer, no one can be allowed to play with unity, integrity and sovereignty of his motherland. JNU or any other educational institution cannot be allowed to operate as anti-national center of activities. Freedom of speech and expression cannot be permitted by any system, in any country, under any Constitution to condemn its own nation, system and sovereignty.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh to constitute a committee to identify those forces in the educational institutions which are trying to sabotage the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India. Rule of law and human rights are for those who behave like humans and act in accordance with the Constitution of the country within the meaning and scope of the rule of law with clear objectives that nation is supreme and so is its interest.
