Hundreds Tamil Panthers arrested by Delhi Police for paying tributes to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at India Gate


Several hundred of Tamilian Association Delhi Unit of National Panthers Party were whisked into police buses by Delhi Police for taking a candle march from India Gate to pay tributes to Kohinoor-e-Hind, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Guest on the occasion was also arrested allegedly for violating the law while paying tributes along with nearly 200 Tamil Panthers in front of India Gate. Detainees included Delhi Pradesh Panthers President, Rajiv Jolly Khosla, Tamilnadu Panthers Unit President, A.J. Rajan with 50 women and several others were taken to Parliament Police Station.
Earlier, Tamilian Association Delhi unit of National Panthers Party paid richest tributes to the former President of India, Kohinoor-e-Hind, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at India Gate by taking out a silent candle light procession praying for peace in the heavens for the departed soul.
The Tamilian Association urged Union of India to set up a memorial statue in honour of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Rameshwaram with his message to the youth to make India strong and great.khoinoor-e-hind-2
Those who arrested included Prof.Bhim Singh (Chief Patron of National Panhers Party), Rajiv Jolly Khosla (President, Delhi Pradesh Panthers Party), Romesh Khajuria, Swami Om Ji, R.P. Sharma, Kali Ram Tomar, Bhawani Maharaj, Balwinder Khosla, Kuldip Kumar, A.J. Rajan, Kali Das, Naresh, Ravi Nayak, Williyam, Ravi, D. Shivaraj Puduchery, Dimple Peter, Paskaran, Raj Kumar, Murkashan, Sesva Raj, Mohd. Faheem, A. Vedavali, K. Panjali, Thamara Iveni, P. Utha Kumari, K. Kirna Moorthi, K. Sunthari, K. Shanuja Suntharam, A. Pranu Sivam, A.K. Surayan and others.
