Modi Govt. panicked, no Govt. in J&K PM should call NIC meeting

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and Member of National Integration Council today strongly reacted to the Defence Minister’s statement during his visit to Kashmir Valley that, “Terrorism shall be met by terrorism”, NPP Supremo said, amounts to terrorism itself. This has reflected an open admission of Modi government that it has failed to provide security to the people in J&K and utterly failed to demolish foreign planted terrorism in the state. His statement has also revealed that present government in J&K in partnership with BJP has also utterly failed to protect the national security and civil liberty.

Another statement by senior BJP leader in Jammu last evening that the BJP cannot do anything with Article 370 for want of sufficient members in the Parliament. This is highly intriguing because BJP having majority in the Lok Sabha can always bring a resolution to empower Parliament to legislate in respect of J&K.

However, it is the President of India alone who can bring any amendment or change Article 370 as the mandate of the Constitution. These statements by the BJP Defence Minister in Kashmir and political statement by BJP leader in J&K have given clear signal that the Modi government has failed in J&K and cannot fulfill its promise vis-à-vis J&K.

The NPP Supremo urged the President of India to amend Article 370 by using his constitutional power in the interest of national interest, advice the Governor of J&K to dismiss the present government as it has failed to perform rather has become security risk. It must go.

Panthers Party remembers Rajiv Gandhi on his 24th Anniversary of Martyrdom

The Executive of Delhi Pradesh National Panthers Party in an emergency meeting paid homage to Shri Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated 24 years ago on this day in Tamilnadu. The Panthers Party senior leaders also held a prayer meeting at NPP headquarters wishing peace in the heavens to the departed soul expressing shock on his assassination in young age.

While addressing the Panthers Party leaders, Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party recollected the message he received on the evening of 20th May, 1991 where Shri Rajiv Gandhi invited Prof.Bhim Singh to accompany Mr. Rajiv Gandhi in the following week to Bihar for election campaign. Mr. Rajiv Gandhi told Bhim Singh that Dr. Farooq Abdullah shall also be accompanying them and he (Bhim Singh) should not mind that. Prof.Bhim Singh told his party activists that he agreed with Rajiv Gandhi to visit Bihar the following week. Prof.Bhim Singh said that it was unbelievable tragedy that Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated just the next day in Tamilnadu. In 1999, Prof.Bhim Singh with several Panthers Party leaders visited the site of the tragedy and paid homage to Rajiv Gandhi during his Rashtra Chetna Yatra from Kargil to Kanyakumari.

Prof.Bhim Singh expressed a grave disappointment on the failure of inquiry to investigate the circumstances that led to death of blossoming bud in the orchid of Indian politics.

He also told the party activists that the successive governments failed to hold investigations into the circumstances that led to his death as he (Rajiv Gandhi) was duly informed about a conspiracy to liquidate him. This was on record in a video interview with Yasir Arafat in Tunis in 1992 by Prof.Bhim Singh and his team.

The Panthers Party in a resolution demanded that this day should be remembered as ‘Anti-Violence Day’ throughout the country.

Prominent among those who participated Rajiv Jolly Khosla, Y.P. Dogra, Romesh Khajuria, Balwinder Khosla, Sunita Chaudhary, Om Kishan, Anil Sharma, Dildar Hussain Baig and others.

Geelani is as good Indian as Dr. Karan Singh or Dr. Farooq Abdullah, passport is constitutional right of every citizen

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party in a scathing attack on the power that be in Delhi or in Srinagar said that granting/issuing a passport in favour of any Indian citizen is no favour rather it is a constitutional right of every Indian to have passport. Refusing passport to Mr. Ali Shah Geelani or questioning his integrity as a citizen of India amounts to defamation and state cannot be absolved from its responsibility to let every Indian get his passport whenever he/she wishes and wherever they intend to go (unless a visit to that country is prohibited/banned by an Indian Law).

The news items appearing in a section of press that an Ex-MLA, J&K, 84 years old Geelani has been refused passport are highly undesirable and unacceptable to any nationalist or Indian because every citizen unless he is disqualified as a right to obtain a passport.

Prof.Bhim Singh accusd the State and Centre agencies for coining some prominent/known political activists as ‘separatists’ only to suit their marketing in J&K. He said every permanent resident of J&K State is unquestionably citizen of India. What is the wrong if Mr. Geelani swears to uphold unity, integrity and sovereignty of India which is required under the Passport Act. How his right to obtain a passport can be denied, he questioned. It did not matter where the passport holder intends to go.

Prof.Bhim Singh questioned Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi whether he considers all opposition leaders or critics of his RSS-PDP run government as separatist? He asked Prime Minister Modi to spell out the meaning of separatist and stop the vested interest from maligning the national residents in J&K who are no less citizens of India than others.
