Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, National Panthers Party addressing a mammoth election rally in Tangdhar, Karnah in District Kupwara (bordering with POK). Threw a challenge to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to share election platform with him anywhere in the state on the burning issues relating the state. While addressing the voters in the bordering and sensitive areas of Teetwal, Tangdhar and Tod, Prof.Bhim Singh said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has opened a dialogue with those whom his party has been accusing as Pak agent for half a century whereas he has failed to shake hand with Prime Minister of Pakistan who has extended his warm greetings to Modi sahib. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the Pahari residents of J&K have remained neglected for 60 years in all fields ranging from development to employment. He said that the Paharies shall never get equitable share in J&K in any walk of life as long as ST status is not accorded to them by the Parliament of India. He praised the Paharies for their unique sacrifices in defense of the country, in politics and in the spirit of national integration. Yet, Paharies have been suffering at all levels and facing discrimination like their brethren in Jammu Pradesh.
Prof.Bhim Singh accused the Kashmiri leadership who have been exploiting the innocent Kashmiries for 60 years just for power. He said that Panthers Party is not fighting election for power nor Panthers Party shall allow corrupt, criminal and communal forces to take advantage of the situation in J&K. He praised Army for their great humanist role and contribution to help the local residents particularly in the border districts during any disaster, may it be earthquakes in Tangdhar or National Disaster in September, 2014. Prof.Bhim Singh appealed the people of J&K to vote and support Panthers Party to strengthen the movement for the delivery of justice to the suffering people of J&K. He accused Congress, NC and PDP for exploiting the people of Kashmir under one pretext or the other just for the sake of power.
Others who addressed election rally included M/s. Massod Andrabi, State Vice President, Ms. Anita Thakur, General Secretary, Farooq Dar, Provincial President, Mehboob Illahi, State Secretary, Mr. Jehangir Khan, Panthers candidate from Karnah, who is provincial secretary of party also.
Earlier, Prof.Bhim Singh accompanied their candidate, Jehangir to the Office of Returning Officer. Mr. Jehangir Khan filed his nomination papers in the presence of party Supremo. Earlier the Panthers Party leaders including Prof.Bhim Singh were welcomed with garlands and flowers in Village Nechiyan (Highway), Tangdhar and taken a procession to the office of Returning Officer, Karnah. Prof.Bhim Singh was also present at the filing of nomination papers in Udhampur by JKNPP President & sitting MLA, Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia, yesterday. Prof.Bhim Singh reached Tangdhar by travelling over 500 kms. by night from Jammu to Tangdhar.
