Addressing a strong rally at Sunderbani ground, Prof. Bhim Singh Founder of JKNPP declared Pahalwan Yashpal Sharma, Sarpanch and Ex-Serviceman as the party candidate for the forthcoming Assembly Elections. Mr. Sharma is an Ex-serviceman who serve the Army earning laurels on his wrestling performance and social causes. Prof. Bhim Singh said that Mr. Sharma shall represent both farmers and ex-serviceman in the Legislative Assembly. He said that Mr. Sharma shall be the first Ex-serviceman MLA from Nowshera Constituency in the border region of Rajouri-Poonch.
Mr. Sharma while thanking the Panthers Party for the mandate declared that he shall serve the interest of the backward and suffering people living along LOC and other backward areas. Prof. Bhim Singh appealed the voters to vote for Jammu State and defeat the real enemies of the people of Jammu. He identified the enemies of Jammu as the state leaders of Congress, BJP, NC and PDP. He said that these were Kashmiri leaders including Abdullahs, Muftis, Ghulam Nabi and others who are responsible for miseries, discrimination, pain, hunger, and starvation of the people of Jammu. He accused Congress, NC and PDP for denying delimitation to the people of Jammu and denying civil rights to the refugees, of 1947, 1965, 1971 and the Jammu migrants of 1999. He said that BJP and Congress have been exploiting the people of Jammu Pradesh and the way out is only a Jammu State.
The other prominent those who addressed 5000 strong rally of NPP workers included Ms Anita Thakur General Secretary JKNPP Incharge Rajouri District and resident of the same constituency, Mr. Gagan Pratap Singh Coordinating General Secretary and Spokesman Young Panthers etc.
