J&K National Panthers Party has cleared the names of four candidates in Kathua District from Bani (Shri Pawan Dev Singh), Billawar (Shri Ravinder Billeoria), Kathua (Shri Balbir Singh) and Hiranagar (Shri Ram Dhan-SC) only. No decision has been taken on Basohli constituency yet. This was stated by Shri Yashpaul Kundal, MLA, General Secretary, Incharge, Kathua District.

In the meantime, Shri Bansi Lal Sharma, Advocate, Spokesman-JKNPP has described a story published in section of local newspapers on the so-called Panthers-BJP alliance in the Assembly election as a gossip having no truth and substance. He said that BJP tried to distract the minds of the voters earlier and now Congress has started the same story without any substance.  He further added that the Panthers Party leadership has made it clear that it shall go alone for the Assembly polls with a mission, ‘Jammu State’and no less than that.
