Why not ‘National Disaster’ in J&K? Bhim Singh Questioned PM Modi

“Much hyped official visit of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi to Srinagar (wrongly quoted as J&K) has given a shock to the flood sufferers and border shelling residents of J&K who were given the impression by the Modi government that he shall announce a heavy package for the entire affected residents of J&K.” Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party reacted sharply on the so-called state visit of the Prime Minister to Srinagar only.
NPP Chief Patron in a strong letter addressed to Mr. Modi questioned Mr. Modi’s utter failure to announce the situation created because of unprecedented floods and rains between September 2 & 9, 2014 as national disaster. He said Mr.Modi during his visit on September 6, 2014 to Kashmir Valley (only) had described the devastating floods in the state as National Disaster. Even the Supreme Court in its observation on September 12, 2014 has described the present situation asNatural Calamity. He questioned Mr. Modi’s double standards and his denial to declare National Disaster. He said that the people were expecting that Prime Minister Modi shall declare National Disaster that rocked J&K resulting in unprecedented destruction of property, crops, orchids, residential houses and even loss of life.
Prof.Bhim Singh called on the people of Jammu Pradesh to ask Modi why he could not take a stop anywhere in Jammu, may it be Nowshera or Sadal of Panchari to find out why the dead bodies have not been recovered from the debris in spite of the government assurance before the Supreme Court of India, while the court was hearing a writ petition of J&K National Panthers Party. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the people of Jammu should take a message that Modi government is no less discriminatory towards the people of Jammu to the NC-Congress government.
