When the people in J&K shall hoist tri-colour in their own right–Questions Bhim Singh

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Member of National Integration Council & Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India post a direct question to the echelons of power in the New Delhi as to how long shall the people of J&K wait to hoist tri-colour flag in J&K in their own right. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the nation has been kept in dark about the discriminatory attitude of the Parliament vis-à-vis J&K which has not extended the jurisdiction of Constitution of India to J&K though the state was integrated fully with the Union of India in 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh accused the successive ruling parties of the country to mislead the nation about the truth regarding State-Centre relations so far as J&K is concerned.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that entire nation is celebrating India’s Independence Day on 15th August by hoisting the nation flag. In J&K we have a separate Constitution and a separate Flag and the Parliament has kept sleeping for 64 years.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that the problems in J&K can only be resolved the day Parliament of India empowers itself to legislate on the subjects in List-I of Schedule-VII and national flag hoist on every roof.

Bhim Singh questions merits of Modi’s statements in Leh & Kargil

Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Member of National Integration Council & Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India has questioned Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India to let the nation know about the BJP manifesto and Prime Minister’s demand. He in his urgent letter addressed to Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister and delivered in his office, South Block, New Delhi this morning wrote to the Prime Minister.

“The entire nation shall be watching your reaction (comments) from the Lal Qila on the illegal occupation of nearly 36,000 miles of our territory by China in Ladakh region and 5,000 sq. miles in Karakoram sector, besides annexation ‘Gilgit-Baltistan’ by Pakistan (in 2009) declaring this territory of J&K (India) as Pakistan’s 5th province.”

Prof.Bhim Singh also wanted to know the stand of the Prime Minister vis-à-vis Union Territory Status to Ladakh and Article 370.

The letter addressed to the Prime Minister by Prof. Bhim Singh reproduced below for publication;

          “Prime Minister’s speeches in Leh and Kargil during his visit to Ladakh region on 12th August, 2014 have left a grave variation, may be, you were advised so by the new echelons of your ‘Kashmir Advisory’.

          Your stand that you took during your recent meeting with Pakistan premier, Nawaz Sharief, to strengthen confidence building measures between the two countries appears to have been diluted by your own speech in Leh, when you called Pakistan a ‘weak state’ and charged them with suspicion for encouraging terrorists from Pakistan to infiltrate into J&K for sabotage. You failed to mention even a word on the illegal occupation of 20,000 sq. miles of Ladakh (India) territory by China. You dared not touch the illegal occupation of nearly 5,000 sq. miles of state (India) territory on Karakoram Highway (POK) which China continues to occupy since 1963. China has built 60 ‘army helipads’ and construction is continuing to build a defence road through Karakoram Highway which is no secret affair.

          On the other hand, your speech in Kargil was more akin to the manifesto of the Khomeini Trust than to the BJP’s. Surprisingly, you did not mention a word about occupation of ‘Baltistan-Gilgit’ by Pakistan. Askardu, capital of Baltistan is only 25 kms. away from Kargil and it is situated only two kms. away from the Line of Control. The illegal occupation by Pakistan over ‘Gilgit-Baltistan’ comprising 32,000 sq. miles of our territory (in violation of UN resolutions) should have found a mentioning by the Prime Minister of India while congratulating the great nationalist people of Kargil. You mentioned ‘development’ only and not the real problems that pose threat to the people of Kargil. You failed to mention about India’s stand on Siachin that falls in that sector alone.

          The people of Ladakh voted for BJP with a hope and trust that Shri Narendra Modi shall get them the status of Union Territory when elected as Prime Minister of India. What happened to your promise to grant Union Territory Status to Ladakh? Shall it meet the same fate that your slogan on Article 370 has met?

          People of Kargil have been asking for a small Air Strip which was promised to them, a hundred times, by the ruling parties. What happened to Kargil’s demand?

          Tomorrow is the Independence Day that this Largest Democracy shall be celebrating by hoisting tri-colour flags. In J&K, the jurisdiction of tri-colour flag has not yet been extended. When the Indian Constitution shall enter J&K?

The entire nation shall be watching your reaction (comments) from the Lal Qila on the illegal occupation of nearly 36,000 miles of our territory by China in Ladakh region and 5,000 sq. miles in Karakoram sector, besides annexation ‘Gilgit-Baltistan’ by Pakistan (in 2009) declaring this territory of J&K (India) as Pakistan’s 5th province.”
