JKNPP leadership hails its victory on withdrawal of fresh recruitment/release of stone-pelters

Senior JKNPP leaders namely, S. Daljit Singh, Choudhary Mohd. Iqbal, Shri P.K. Ganjoo (Vice Presidents) and Ms. Anita Thakur, General Secretary have hailed the victory of the Panthers Party when Chief Minister Omar Abdullah bowed down to the demand of JKNPP for the revival of pre-paid mobiles, release of all political prisoners, withdrawal of discriminating fresh recruitment policy and other issues. The party leaders said that Prof.Bhim Singh has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court through JKNPP’s Political Secretary, Mrs. Sudesh Dogra which was referred to the High Court of J&K under Article 226. The Panthers Party Young Panthers leader, Shri Vilakshan Singh, Advocate has already filed a writ petition under Article 226 in the High Court as was permitted by the Supreme Court of India. The JKNPP leaders said that it was Panthers Party which got the restoration of pre-paid mobiles in the State. Use of pre-paid mobiles was banned by the Chief Minister with the approval of the then Union Home Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram in 2010. Prof.Bhim Singh had represented the Panthers Party and got mobiles restored. The Panthers Party leaders said that J&K government had illegally put a ban on the SMS messages through the pre-paid mobiles and the government realized that this was the contempt of the Supreme Court.

The noted leaders of the JKNPP said that this was farsightedness of the Panthers Party that all the political prisoners including the so-called stone pelters should be released forthwith from illegal detention. The Panthers Party has filed several petitions for the release of minor children detained by J&K government. The Panthers Party Political Secretary, Mrs. Sudesh Dogra had dashed an SMS message to Shri Omar Abdullah as per his request asking the Chief Minister to undo the blunders he has committed.

The State General Secretary of the Young Panthers Shri Vilakshan Singh in his petition before the High Court of J&K at Jammu has challenged the fresh recruitment policy of 2011 and said that all the appointees appointed after the promulgation of SRO-332 since 2011 should be provided with arrears till date and the government order in this regard should be revoked retrospectively.

The Panthers Party leader said that there is a saying that, “What Bengal things today, India thinks tomorrow.” They said that there is no doubt that whatever Prof.Bhim Singh thinks today, the entire leadership may think it day after. It was Prof.Bhim Singh who destroyed the anti-women bill, got Resettlement Act stayed through the Supreme Court of India, got full salary to the employees, both gazetted and non-gazetted in 1981 when Sheikh’s government had tried to introduce a similar ordinance as was reflected in the fresh recruitment policy. It was Prof.Bhim Singh who did not allow Sheikh Abdullah’s government to amend Criminal Procedure Code and the Ranbir Penal Code in 1981 by challenging the obnoxious and discriminatory added provisions in the Ranbir Penal Act.

The Panthers Party leaders called on all the Panthers Party district and block committees to celebrate the Panthers Party victory in regard to the fresh recruitment policy, pre-paid mobiles etc.
