Delimitation, Empowerment of Panchayats and Reorganization of J&K inevitable!

Addressing a press conference in Jammu after the conclusion of four days study tour of the International Border areas, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of NPP expressed deep shock on the highly deteriorating situation of the residents of the International Border areas from Chhamb Sector to Hiranagar.
Prof Bhim Singh informed that the Border Defence Committee shall present the entire charter of demands of the border people to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India next week.
The important grievances of the people of the border areas include, that each family should be provided at least 10 marlas of residential land in the safe zone, compensation for the land taken by the Defence to carve out fencing. He said that the residents in the border areas should be given certificates of Permanent Residents as thousands of refugees from Chhamb and Deva-Batala areas have not been provided with the certificates nor with ration cards.
He said that denial of Dogra certificates to the Dogras of Jammu particularly living in the border areas proves the anti-Dogra bias against the people of Jammu which deserve to be addressed.  He also pointed out that uncertainty in Pakistan has caused insecurity to the residents living along International Border & LOC. He said that Gen. Pervez Kyiani has planned to throw elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. He has hardly two weeks left to implement his plan. These two weeks are very important for Indian Defence Forces to ensure security of International Border and LOC.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that there shall be no peace in Jammu and Kashmir as long as there is no rule of law. He said that Panthers Party is committed for the empowerment of Panchayats in the spirit of 73rd Amendment, delimitation of Constituencies and Blocks and finally reorganization of the State to provide legitimate and constitutional protection to all the three regions of the State, Lakdah, Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh.
