SC notice to UOI & U.P. Govt. on Writ Petition seeking CBI probe on Muzaffar Nagar riots

A division Bench of Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice P. Sathasivam, Justice Mrs. Ranjana Prakash Desai & Justice Mr. Ranjan Gogoi issued notice to the Union of India & Uttar Pradesh Government on a writ petition filed by the SCBA seeking directions to hold an independent enquiry into the horrors of human disaster in Muzaffar Nagar riots on 7th September, 2013.

Senior Advocates M/s. M.N. Krishnamani & Prof. Bhim Singh who represented the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) before the division bench of the Supreme Court urged the Court to order investigation by an independent and impartial agency namely CBI in the interest of national security.

Prof. Bhim Singh submitted before the Court that a tug of war between the Union of India & Uttar Pradesh government should not make truth a casualty. He submitted that an independent investigation by the CBI or CIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court alone shall save the truth in the greater interest of communal harmony which is the backbone of democracy.

Prof. Bhim Singh also mentioned the Crl. M.P. filed by the SCBA seeking permission to screen the ‘sting operation’ in connection with Muzaffar Nagar riots which was telecast on 17th September, 2013 by India Today (headlines) and Times Now. He informed the court that this Sting Operation which has been witnessed by millions of people in the country makes a strong case that the Muzaffar Nagar riots needs to be invested by an independent agency.

NC-Congress alliance in J&K is disaster for national security

NPP Supremo, Prof. Bhim Singh has accused NC-Congress government in J&K for turning the state into den of communalism, corruption and lawlessness. He urged the Governor, Shri N.N. Vohra to act fast to save the State from further death and destruction because of the non-governance of the government. Prof. Bhim Singh said that Congress and National Conference are fighting shamelessly only to grab more power and rob the state exchequer.
In a special communication to the Panthers Legislature Party, Prof. Bhim Singh hoped that the legislature party under the leadership of Shri Harsh Dev Singh shall oppose, expose in order to depose the present corrupt and inefficient government in the state. He charged the Omar government for importing terrorists holding Pakistani passports via Nepal which is a matter of record. He expressed surprise that the government of India is sitting silent on the grave situation rather abetting the Omar Government to import terrorists holding Pakistani passports into J&K via Nepal. He reminded the countrymen that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had confessed on the floors of the Assembly on May 11, 2013 that 241 Pakistani terrorists have entered J&K via Nepal who were provided I-cards by the Govt. of J&K. He said that the so-called Surrender & Rehabilitation Policy framed in 2004 was completely reversed by Omar Abdullah’s government in 2010 by allowing the terrorists holding Pakistani passports to enter J&K via Nepal. This is grave violation by the Chief Minister.
Prof. Bhim Singh has demanded a case to be registered against the Chief Minister for abetting the terrorists to enter India. He reminded Dr. Manmohan Singh that Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru a great friend of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah had to put Sheikh Abdullah in prison in 1953 after dismissing him from premiership of J&K. Dr. Manmohan Singh has no reason to defend Mr. Omar Abdullah only because he is patronize by some Congress leaders in Delhi. Nation is more important than the interest of an individual. This was the message of Nehru to Sheikh Abdullah.
Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to all the nationalists, secular and democratic parties in legislature in J&K to join hands with the Panthers Legislature Party inside the Assembly on 30th September, 2013 when the State Assembly shall meet.
