NPP pays highest tributes to S. Udham Singh on his 73rd Martyrdom day

Shaheed-e-Azam Udham Singh as described by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962 was martyred by the colonial British empire in London on 31st July, 1940. Udham Singh recorded his name as Ram Mohd. Singh Azad with his trial judge in London in 1940.

S.Udham Singh taught General Dwyer a lesson, by blowing him with his pistol right inside Caxton Hall, London, which Dwyer deserved for the commission of genocide in Jallianwala Bagh, India against the innocent Indians on 13th April, 1919.

Hundreds of NPP activists gathered at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to pay highest tributes to S. Udham Singh, Shaheed-e-Azam for his supreme sacrifice an act of unprecedented bravery by killing British General in his hometown in London.

Addressing the Panthers Party activists who observed this day at Jantar Mantar, Prof. Bhim Singh, Supremo of the Panthers Movement and Chief Patron of Rashtriya Chetna Abhiyan called on the youth and students to strengthen the movement so that the correct history of the freedom movement is recorded and taught in the country. Panthers Party leader said that the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters which include Mangal Pandey, S. Bhagat Singh, S.Udham Singh have not been projected properly and sincerely in the history of freedom. He cautioned the younger generation to study the role of the leaders which have been decorated by the colonial British empire. The fact was both Gandhi and Nehru failed to acknowledge the sacrifice of S. Udham Singh. Mahatma Gandhi himself had condemned 10, Caxton Hall shooting. Mahatma Gandhi though had to launch Quit India Movement two years after the Caxton Hall victory of S. Udham Singh.

It was only Subhash Chander Bose who had acknowledged the supreme sacrifice and brave act of S.Udham Singh for India’s freedom. He said that role of Congress Party was doubtful and discouraging.

The Panthers Party while narrating the victorious role of S. Udham Singh, a young revolutionary from Sangroor, Punjab stated;

“S. Udham Singh, after 21 years got an opportunity to bring General Dwyer to justice. On 13 March 1940, almost 21 years after the Jallianwala Bagh killings: A joint meeting of the East India Association and the Central Asian Society (now Royal Society for Asian Affairs) was scheduled at Caxton Hall, and among the speakers was Michael O’Dwyer. Singh concealed his revolver in a book specially cut for the purpose and managed to enter the hall. He took up his position against the wall. At the end of the meeting, the gathering stood up, and O’Dwyer moved towards the platform to talk to Zetland. Singh pulled his revolver and fired. O’Dwyer was hit twice and died immediately. Then Singh fired at Zetland, the Secretary of State for India, injuring him but not seriously. Incidentally, Luis Dane was hit by one shot, which broke his radius bone and dropped him to the ground with serious injuries. A bullet also hit Lord Lamington, whose right hand was shattered. Singh did not intend to escape. He was arrested on the spot.

His weapon, a knife, his diary, along with a bullet fired on the day are now kept in the Black Museum of Scotland Yard.”

The Panthers Party activists announced that the Rashtriya Chetna Abhiyan launched by the Panthers Party under the leadership of its founder Prof. Bhim Singh shall reach every corner of the country and knock at every door of the students and youth with the awakening call to re-write the history of past freedom struggle and get ready for the achievement of Ultimate Revolution in the future so that India shall be free from corruption, communalism, criminalization and authoritarianism. Reorganization of J&K on the card makes Omar Abdullah to blow hot & cold

“Omar Abdullah’s outbursts on the Telangana State is a living support to the movement for reorganization of J&K launched by JKNPP to ensure dignity of life and equity to all regions of the state. Omar Abdullah’s statement has definitely awakened the sleeping Jammuites that it is only their struggle and resistance that shall force the Kashmir rulers to concede to the historic urges of the people of Ladakh and Jammu Pradesh. Jammu Pradesh, Ladakh as well as the innocent Kashmiries have been ruthlessly ruled by authoritarian government comprising of Sheikh Dynasty combined with half a dozen of their slaves from Jammu Pradesh. This is a warning bell to the J&K rulers that they respect the human dignity of all the people irrespective of their regions. 63 year-dynasty rule in J&K has given only pain, sufferings and untold miseries to the people of each region.” This was the statement of Prof. Bhim Singh in reply to Mr. Omar Abdullah’s uncalled for outbursts in connection with the Reorganization of the State.
The Panthers Party Supremo asked National Conference rulers whether they justify the Union of J&K under the Treaty of Amritsar. Sheikh Abdullah and his National Conference was founded only to fight and abrogate the Treaty of Amritsar. Let the Treaty of Amritsar go so that the authoritarian rule comes to an end and the people of each region live with dignity, honour, respect and equality, the NPP leader told Omar Abdullah in his rejoinder.

Reorganization of J&K inevitable after Telangana

An emergency meeting of the National Executive of the Panthers Party hailed the restoration of Telangana as a state within the Indian Union after nearly 60 years of its merger with Andhra Pradesh.

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party while welcoming the historic decision, though much delayed and hoped that the Central leadership and the Parliament shall read the writings on the walls of tomorrow’s history to respond the call of the people of J&K for Reorganization of the State which was an unnatural and heterogeneous union established in 1846 under the leadership of Maharaja Gulab Singh. He said that all the three constituent of the state namely Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu Pradesh can grow under the new formation after the Reorganization of the State on the basis of cultural, geographical and linguistic identity of its each region. He hoped that the Parliament shall initiate the process without delay. Reorganization of J&K, he said, is the only lasting resolution of political, social and economic problems within the State. This is the only way out and permanent solution.

Home Secretary directed to report on implementation of HC & SC orders regarding relief to Jammu Migrants

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Chairperson, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs today directed Shri Anil Goswami to find out the fate of J&K High Court ruling and implementation of Supreme Court judgment in connection with the relief entitlement of Jammu Migrants. The Jammu Migrants prominently known as Talwara Migrants have not been given relief for several years in spite of the judgment/orders of the Supreme Court of India. Mr. Naidu gave this direction after hearing Panthers Party Supremo, Prof. Bhim Singh and its President, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA during the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs with the representatives of the Kashmiri & Jammu Migrants.

Prof. Bhim Singh in his submission along with Mr. Mankotia told the Standing Committee chaired by Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in the presence of Shri L.K. Advani and others that the Govt. of J&K has defied the direction of the Supreme Court given in Panthers Party’s writ petition in 2006 to provide regular relief to the Jammu Migrants at par with Kashmiri Migrants. The Supreme Court had also directed the Govt. of India and the Govt. of J&K to pay balance of arrears to the Jammu Migrants which amounted to Rs.21 crores. He told the members of the Committee that Jammu Migrants have not been registered properly, instead, thousands of the names were deleted by the administration. He told the high power committee of the Parliament that J&K Govt. was interested to implement Dixon Plan to create an Islamic Republic of Kashmir by dissecting Muslim majority areas of Jammu Pradesh. He accused the National Conference for bringing Pak-trained terrorists to J&K via Nepal.

He also blamed the Central leadership for completely ignoring the Jammu Migrants at all levels in giving concessions. He said that Govt. of India had insured special jobs to the Kashmiri migrants, the Kashmiri Migrants are getting special admissions in other states in the educational institutions whereas Jammu Migrants have not been provided any package in services, educational institutions nor the monthly allowance has been enhanced in favour of the Jammu Migrants. He told the committee that Kashmiri Migrants allowance was raised by the former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee whereas Jammu Migrants remained ignored. He further said that rehabilitation policy has been framed and houses have been raised in Jammu province for Kashmiri Migrants whereas no such steps have been taken in respect of Jammu Migrants.

Prof. Bhim Singh further demanded special package for final rehabilitation of the Jammu Migrants back in their own villages by providing them full social and physical security. Prof. Bhim Singh also raised the issue of police assault on the Panthers Party leaders while they were leading a peaceful march to Delhi from Talwara seeking implementation of the Supreme Court order. He informed the committee Ms. Anita Thakur was beaten, dragged, Advocate H.C. Jalmeria’s leg was broken and Senior Journalist, P.K. Ganjoo was manhandled. All of them were detained in police station. He said this case of police assault on the migrants and JKNPP leaders is pending for final hearing before the Supreme Court of India.

Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia also made a strong appeal to the members of the committee to ensure equitable treatment and relief to the Jammu Migrants. He also demanded implementation of the Supreme Court order so that children and the families of the Jammu Migrants could be saved from suffering, hunger and starvation.

On the request of Prof. Bhim Singh, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu announced that he will send a sub-committee to study the situation regarding the Jammu Migrants as well as the Kashmiri Migrants.

Panthers Party decides to file corruption cases against Azad, Soz

An emergency meeting of the JKNPP Secretariat was held today in Jammu which has decided to file corruption petitions against named corrupt ministers including Union Minister, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad and Prof. Saifudin Soz in the Supreme Court of India.  The Secretariat has authorized Prof. Bhim Singh, who is also Sr. Executive Member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, to move appropriate petitions against the Sr. Congress leaders who have file false affidavits before the Election Commission of India and in the Parliament in connection with their properties they and their family members are holding.

The Secretariat felt that the Sr. Congress leaders have grabbed state land within the Municipal limits in Jammu and Srinagar Corporations under the most fraudulent law called ‘Roshni Act’ which was enacted during the Chief Ministership of Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad.  The JKNPP Secretariat has received score of representations from the persons victimized under the Roshni Act and the name of Sr. Leaders who have grabbed the Forest Land also.

The Secretariat felt that it was not just one ‘Tara Chand’ alone in the dustbin of corruption. Half a dozen of state ministers including Congress Ministers and the Central Ministers own properties beyond the limits of their income and they have been using power umbrella by wearing the Congress clothing for the past 60 years.

The Panthers Party has collected enough material in connection with the illegal properties raised by the state Congress & National Conference leaders to seek a judicial probe against the corrupt ministers in the State and the Central to expose and depose them from power so that state becomes corruption free.

The JKNPP has also decided to file a fresh writ petition in the Supreme Court of India seeking urgent Delimitation of the Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies on the basis of 2011 census.  This is important to note that Delimitation was held after 2001 census throughout the country except J&K.  Both the NC and the Congress have been opposing Delimitation process inside the Legislature and in the Court as well.
